More for you pennies

Do you expect your crafty stash work hard for you? I do!
When I look at new tools especially I want them to do more than it says on the box! That's why the envelope punch board is one of my best buys!
Not only can you make envelopes but you can let your creativity flow and make all sorts with it like this adorable mini album!
I've left it plain as I want to give it as a gift 😊

Weekly Inspiration - Vellum

For my last project this week I have been influenced by my
son's forth-coming wedding so I made a table favour using Vellum.

With the Cutie Pie Thinlits, I die-cut the 2 images to make the 'cake box'.
I die-cut some flowers using the Botanical Builder Framelets in Pink Pirouette and Vellum cardstock.
Adding the opposite colour I added the stamens to each flower.

Simply but delicately decorated you can either stand the 'cake' up or lay it flat.
Adding a few Rhinestones on the flowers
will make the flowers pop!

Thank you for looking this week, Cary will be back on Monday so please pop by to see what amazing things she has made.
I wonder if she'll get messy again?

Weekly Inspiration - Vellum

This card was made from Vellum.
Vellum cardstock is very strong and perfect for using as a card base.
It is also good to emboss so I embossed the front of the card with
The Brick Wall embossing folder.
I die-cut the heart using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlets Dies. I love that they are so intricate.
Adding some Blushing Bride Glimmer paper flowers from the dies and a
little Blushing Bride ink using a dauber.
Stazon Jet Black was used to stamp the message and inside of the vellum card.
A message from Beautiful Ride and Rhinestones to finsh off.
Please pop by tomorrow to see what else I have made.
Thank you,
Gill

Weely Inspiration - Vellum

Continuing on with Vellum, today I have die-cut a rose from the
Stampin' Up! Rose Garden Thinlits Die in Bermuda Bay.
I placed a piece of the Silver Foiled Vellum with hearts on and cut the image out.
I gutted the centre of the card front and placed the whole rose within it.
The whole of the front was embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder to add a little texture.
A simple Happy birthday message from Age Awareness to finish it off

Weekly Inspiration

Vellum

The flowers on the following 2 cards were stamped from Birthday Blooms stamp set
using Versamark and were heat embossed with White embossing powder.
We then coloured another stamped image on white cardstock, using a stronger colour
on the borders to highlight the petals. The vellum naturally softens
the colours from underneath so a stronger colour is the best idea.
We then covered the whole image with Tombow glue and stuck the 2 images
 together before cutting them out.
Large Polka Dots embossing folder was used for the white mats
These were 2 cards that Cary has designed for one of our recent classes.

The same method for the flowers and

Weeky Inspiration

Vellum Cardstock is the Stampin' Up! product that I am hoping to inspire you with this week.
Cary and I spent Saturday in Telford with 380 + other demonstrators.
When we meet we swap cards and products with each other.
All made up with Stampin' Up! product of course.

I haven't had time to make any projects as yet as I've been catching up with my family.
I am therfore cheating with these
following 3 swaps that I was lucky to receive while I was in Telford.

This first card was made by Hilary Gregory.
Hilary has heat embossed the vellum cardstock flowers in white embossing powder and coloured
 in with Delightful Dijon ink.
I love the way that each flower shows a different hue.
Gorgeous!

This second project wais made by Jan Twinks.
Jan has made a lovely little frame and added a double layered butterfly die cut from Vellum cardstock.
The lower butterfly is covered in gold Wink of Stella which shows through the die-cut one on top.
The top butterfly has clear Wink of Stella but my photo doesn't show how much it sparkles.
Beautiful!
.......................................................................................

This last swap was made by Michelle Last.
Michelle made this gorgeous card with the butterfly once again and it was
die-cut from Vellum Cardstock.
In my opinion, the simple vellum butterfly enhances the stamping, ribbons,
flowers and messages.Simply beautiful.
..........................................................................................
I hope you have been inspired by these 3 lovely projects. I know that I have.
Please pop by tomorrow where I will attempt to show some more ways
to inspire you with vellum cardstock.

Shimmery simplicity. ..

Today simplicity is the key.
A single layer card made from a piece of shimmery card stock and using the masking technique to create a highlighted are for the sentiment.
To create the flowers I spritzed pool party reinker mixed with water and rich razzleberry reinker mixed with water onto shimmery card stock then punched the flowers out. I then used my sponge daubers to ink up the edges.
This card was inspired  by a card the lovely Tracy from Bedlam and Butterflies created.
In real life the card has a gentle shimmer and sparkle.
I hope you've enjoyed this week's  inspiration.
Next week the inspiration will be supplied by Gill so we're  in for a treat. 😊
Have fun
Cary ☺ x

One of my favourite colours is the gorgeous neutral crumb cake it goes so well with every colour.
And in my opinion it looks fab with pool pary and crisp white!
The flower is simply heat embossed in white to make it pop.
What's your go to colour?
Have fun

Teabag rosette how to....

Here's a few instructions on how I created the teabag rosette from yesterday's inspiration.
I used the tag punch from Stampin ' Up! .
I then punched out 10 tags and 1  x 2" circle  from double sided pattern paper.
Then with the top of the tag on your left fold the top long side across

Next fold the piece back to the top edge

Now fold the remaining 9 tags in the same way
next I put tombow  liquid  glue over the 2" circle and start to create the rosette

When you're happy with the effect place another smaller circle in the centre to secure then decorate as you like 😊

Hope this has helped 😊
Have fun
Cary ☺ x

Soft and subtle. ..

I do love to get messy when I craft 😉 lol
For this card I embossed the white mat then used my sponge Daubers to gently apply ink randomly over the embossed areas.
To highlight the center I got my oval framelits out and created a frame. I also used the cute little punches available from the spring summer  catalogue from Stampin ' Up! .
I don't usually go for pastel colours but the pool party works so well withe the other colours in the subtle  family.
Have fun

Who's for tea??

Today I've  done an old technique teabag folding.
For the rosette I've used the tag punch and pattern paper and punched out 9 tags. Folded them then stuck them to a circle of card to create a rosette.
This card also features a little sparkle in the pool party ribbon bow in the center.
Have fun
Cary ☺ x
