Christmas Day -Day 5

This is my last card for this week.
I hope you like it.

The last of my samples made for our all day class.
This one is an easel card only it doesn't have the extra panel on it.

Using the Santa's Workshop DSP, I trimmed the outer edge which is scalloped and fixed it on the front corner.  I scored the front panel of the card and a white mat too.

Then I embossed the mat using the Softly Falling embossing Folder. I fixed 1 half of the mat before sticking the other side to make sure it had a nice crisp fold.

I added the word SNOW then decorated.
Beautiful Blizzard stamp set is gorgeous. I love it.

Christmas Day 4

Today's there is only 1 card. This is one of the last of my sample as made for our all day classes.

This again is a C6 sized card but this time a Z fold design. Still using the lovely  silver foiled edges cards but I used the card 'inside out'!

Using a piece of white A5 card I cut it
With a very wavy edge. I embossed both pieces with the Softly Falling embossing Folder and put both straight edges together. Through other hand of the A4 sheet, I stamped snowflakes in Balmy Blue all over and cutting them to size placed them onto the card base.

Adding a few of the previously due to Snowflakes from the Blizzard Thinlits.
Then with a dauber I sponged frost white Shimmer Paint very randomly all over.
It gives a lovely sheen to the card.

I'm glad to say that the card folds nice and flat into the envelope still.
Apologies for today's post as I'm using my mobile! My pc has what is called the black screen of death!!!!

Christmas - Day 3

Hello again, thank you for joining us.
Here are some more of the sample cards that I made for our first Christmas class for this year.
Cary and I used the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and coordination Thinlits as well as the lovely
Silver Foiled edged cards and envelopes.

The card above was for me a triumph! I don't do 'messy' cards normally but I fancied having a go!
Using Balmy Bluem Pacific Point and Night of Navy Ink Pads, I sponged the colours all over the White mat and go the lovely ombre effect.
Using snowflakes which had been diecut from the Blizzard Thinlits, I added them with a little Tombow glue to each and added the simple Season's Greetings to finish.

Another simple one this time I die cut out the letters NOEL using the Large Letter Thinlits.
Once again I embossed using the Curls and Swirls Embossing Folder, this time using Coastal Cabana.
I fixed that onto a piece of DSP from the Santa's Workshop using Dimensionals.
I finished off by adding a few snowflakes from the Foiled diecut card earlier.
A few Rhinestones and finished.

Once again the DSP was fixed onto the card base but I decided that it was missing something.
So I heat embossed the Christmas Tree in White and die cut it out.
I wasn't necessary to die cut it but I was feeling lazy!
This time I used the words from the lovely Spirited Snowmen stamp set.

Christmas - Day 2

Here are some more cards made as samples for the 1st of our Christmas classes for this year.

As I mentioned yesterday our main stamp set was Beautiful Blizzard.
The Poppy Parade above was a very simple one as all I did was to die cut the Blizzard Thinlits
and fixed it using dimensionals to raise it.
A simple Merry was also die cut but this time from the Merry Christmas Thinlits.
I then glued ti onto a White scrap of paper then, leaving a good sized border, fussy cut around it.

This one above is another simple one. I embossed the Balmy Blue using the lovely
Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder. I had a scrap of White on my desk
so stamped the snowflakes from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set.
This time in Silver foiled Card I die cut the Happy Christmas from the Merry Christmas Thinlits again.

This time, I Die cut the Blizzard out of Balmy Blue cardstock and using some of the snoeflakes only,
fixed them in the centres only using Tombow glue.
I finished them off by adding Rhinestones and a gotgeous message.
As I said yesterday, the messages in this stamp set are really lovely.

Weekly Inspiration - Christmas

Christmas

Yes, it's that time again when we start making cards a plenty for Christmas.
It really is the most wonderful time of the year for me as I notice that
everyone is happy and friendly with each other.
Love it!
Anyway, Cary and I have been super busy over the last few weeks/months and we held our first Christmas classes over 2 weekends as so many wanted to join us.
This week I shall be showing you some of the cards that I made as samples to show everyone.

We used the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set along with the coordinating Blizzard thinlits.
This 1st one is a Smoky Slate mat on a Night of Navy mat which is fixed to one of the lovely Silver edged Cards and matching envelopes.
I stamped the 'clouds' (which look like a dragon to me) then using Versamark, and White embossing powder, heat set to complete this.

We also used Spirited Snowmen stamp set.
This time I used Coastal Cabana on Whisper White and again onto the
Silver Edged cards and envelopes.
I LOVE the messages on this one. Yes, I'm a romantic at heart!

I cut a few mats and die cut them with the Blizzard Thinlit then used the snowflakes on several different cards but used the remainder of the mat on this one here.
A simple Merry using the Merry Christmas Thinlits for the message finishes this one off.

Timeless texture...

Who likes getting a bit inky???? I do๐Ÿ˜ as today's card proves!! Lots of sponging and building up colour makes for messy fingers!! One colour combination I've discovered I really rather like is this one shaded spruce with melon mambo and little touches of blushing bride. Not one I'd have instantly thought of but after trying well what can I say...it's gorgeous!!!
Well that's it for me this week. Next week Gill will be sharing the inspiration so please join us.
Have a crafty weekend and have fun.
Cary xx

Waterfront calm...

The sample today is an attempt what I call an artsy  card. Now I'm no artist , much as I'd love to be!, and having seen all the beautiful work some very talented people have created using the waterfront stamp set from Stampin Up , and I  thought I'd have a play ...on a small scale. I kept it simple and it was very easy to use so I was quite pleased with the effect I've created. The learning I'm taking from this is don't be put off by all the fabulous things you see online have a go yourself..you might be surprised ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tropical chic...

After yesterday Christmas sample I had to warm up again with a bit of tropical chic!!! A simple card made with tropical escape designer series paper and the coordinating stamps and dies. The shaded spruce  is used as neutral to make the pink pop against all the other shades of green in the pattern paper.

Shaded spruce Christmas memories...

Today I'm in the mood for Christmas and there's nothing more traditional than a red and green colour combination for Christmas! So here's a traditional card using a traditional real red with the super contemporary shaded spruce. The background for the card is made using the Buffalo check stamp from the Stampin Up autumn winter mini catalogue.  I stamped it in shaded spruce onto white card then used a Stampin write marker pen in real red to add the lines. I do love a bit of check and tartan at christmas๐Ÿ˜ the other great thing about shaded spruce is that not only is it available in card stack, ink pad and Stampin write marker pen it's also available in the fabulous Stampin Blends alcohol pen!!! Now I'm no artist but I'm quite pleased with the way the holly leaves coloured with the fab blends pen ๐Ÿ˜

Shaded spruce wild about you....

This card says it all!!...I'm wild about the new colour Shaded Spruce!!  So much so I'm sharing 5 projects this week using it.
Today's card is a fun card that shows how well shaded spruce fits in with the range of green colours Stampin Up have. And don't you just love these cheery crocodiles ??? They come from the the super fun designer series paper  Animal expedition and the sentiment is from the coordinating stamps Animal outing .

Wonderful Moments - Day 5

This is the last card for me this week and as such
is the ever hopeful result of a happy marriage.

'A Little Miracle'
This time I have used Whisper White and Poppy Parade cardstock and Ink pad.
I also added one of the amazingly gorgeous pieces of die cut paper
from the Delightfully Detailed Die Cut Papers.

I coloured once again with the Aqua brush using Poppy Parade, Pretty Pink and Soft Suede Ink pads.
I did emboss the red mat using Polka Dot Basics TIEF embossing folder but this isn't essential.

A simple message again from the stamp set to finish off the last card this week.

Thank you once again for stopping by this week.

I do hope that I have given you some inspiration to make your own cards.

Wonderful Moments - Day 4

This time it is the wedding day card that I made with the set.
Very similar to yesterday's card but this time just the bride on her own.

 'Dream Come True'

The same image as yesterday but completed this time with a 'veil'.
As soon as I saw this lovely ribbon I remembered a veil that I made for my Godson's mum on her wedding day many years ago. To top it off. it actually snowed as they left the church!
It is Polka Dot Tulle ribbon. Perfect!

I joined 3 small strips of ribbon using Clear dots and trimmed around the top shaping it to the
bride's head.
I used the Layering Squares and Layering Circles for the Whisper White and Daffodil Delight mats.

A little more of the ribbon across the front of the card mat and a
few Rhinestones to embellish the card.

Sorry about this picture. It really didn't come out at all well!
If you like this stamp set as I do, please follow the link HERE for more information.

Wonderful Moments - Day 3

Once again today I am following on from the card yesterday for the next step in
these ladies cards.
Today, is the wedding day.
I made another Easel card but this time it is a horizontal C6 card.

'For the Bride'
I stamped the 3 images this time but used Whisper White and Melon Mambo cardstock and Ink pads.
Because the 'bridesmaids' took up so much space I had to fussy cut them out of another piece of card
and fixed them as shown.

I used the gorgeous Red Rhinestones for the bridesmaids tiaras and Basic Rhinestones for the Bride's.
I stamped all of the images using Basic Gray but then used Versamark over the brides dress only and
added White embossing powder just offset from gray image.
Once heat set, I'm rather pleased with the effect.

I brushed over the bride's dress with Clear Wink of Stella.
You can't see that very well on the pictures but in reality it looks very effective.

The smaller messages in Whisper White were punched out with a 1" circle punch and the 1,3/8" scallop circle is using Melon Mambo.information.
If you like the stamp set as I do, please follow the link HERE for more information.

Wonderful Moments

Following on from yesterday's card, today is the next step for a lady, the Engagement.
This time I made an vertical Easel card.

 'She said Yes!'
I have used Night of Navy and Whisper White card and Ink pad this time.
I love the simplicity of the easy colours.

I used the Darling Label punch for the smaller messages.
If you don't have this punch, the result can be made very easily by cutting a square
and using a 1/2" circle punch snipping out the corners.
This gives a really lovely effect.

I coloured the image in using an Aqua brush marker using Flirty Flamingo,
Pretty Pink, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy with a tiny touch of
Poppy Parade for the shoes.

A simple message again from the stamp set, completes this card.
What's next? Please pop by tomorrow to see.

Weekly Inspiration

Wonderful Moments

This week I have the pleasure of playing with a lovely stamp set called,
 yes, you guessed it,
Wonderful Moments.

This lovely stamp set is perfect for all of those events that need a card for a lady.
The first of course is a birthday.

I ued Coastal Cabana cardstock, Basic Gray and Bermuda Bay Ink Pads.
The flourish is from a previous die cutting day and is from the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies.

As you can just see from the side view, I stamped onto the card mat and coloured it in and
then did another image which I fussy cut and fixed using Dimensionals to add an extra dimension.
I used a Aqua Brush and ink from the ink pads to colour in the images.

I used the Pretty Label Punch for the message and Rhinestones to decorate.

A simple Happy Birthday to complete this first card.
