Welcome to my final card for this week of Trucking Along inspiration. As it's a Friday it has to be a fun fold but today's is a super simple one! The fold is what I'm calling a Extra Easy Easel and is one that I saw a fellow crafter called Pauline Barnfather make and just thought wow thats fab!
The card starts with a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 29.7cm that is scored at 10cm, 14.85cm and 19.7cm. The finished card will fit in a standard C6 envelope.
You then use a bone folder to reinforce the score lines with the first as a valley, the second as a mountain and the third as a valley. This creates a W shape when the card is stood on end.
Next add adhesive to the panel as shown in the picture below.
Fold the card base so that the left-hand large panel covers the adhesive. This creates the extra easy easel card base.
I have decorated my sample with some of the amazing pattern paper from a pack called One horse open sleigh. It's filled with patterns and scenes that evoke a winter journey. The papers are 6" x 6' (15.2cm x 15.2cm) so I used just one sheet to decorate the card!
I stamped the uber cute truck in a feative red and added the Christmas tree to create a fun Christmas card.
On the bottom panel of the card I added a mat of white cardstock and adhered a layer of pattern paper along one edge. I then stamped some of the parcels along the edge. This is where I would write my greetings.
The stamp set is so useful for all year round with it's combination of all season images and sentiments. It's certainly one that will be making regular appearances on my cards all year long!
The other top thing with this card is that it folds flat for postage 😀
So that's all from me this week. Next week Gill will be sharing with us here and I'll be jetting of to Las Vegas for a Stampin' Up! Event and a cheeky holiday 😜
As ever have a wonderful weekend whatever your doing remember
Have Fun!
