Fun fold Friday Ice Cream Swirl

Yay it's fun fold Friday 😀 and I have a goodbone to share with you today called a pocket card. The card does of course feature the amazing Ice Cream Swirl bundle of stamps and dies that have been at the heart of all my posts this past week .

So how do you make a pocket card? Well its really rather easy. Below are diagrams with the measurements and scoring and cutting lines.

Next cut a piece of patterned paper as per the diagram above

Once cut and scored your cardstock adhere your pattern paper of choice. The largest panel of paper is adhered as per the picture. Please make sure you have the card base in the correct orientation. The center cut line must be on the right-hand side.

Next turn the card over this time the cut will be on the left-hand side. Adhere the small pattern paper panel to the top right-hand corner. Then a piece of white cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm in the bottom left-hand corner as shown below.

Next rorate the panel as shown below and place tape as shown below.

Remove the tape cover on panel a and fold over to panel b.

Then remove the tape cover on panel c and fold panel a up to close the card

Fold a over to the right-hand side . Turn your card over and voila it's done .

Now it's time to decorate and add to the pockets. I made my own pattern paper using the cute small images from the ice cream swirl stamps.

The ice cream swirl dies cut out the cone portion into little note cards which were perfect for popping into the pockets.

The front ice cream is adhered with 3d foam to the front of the card. The cone die has a coordinating texture die which you can use at the same time at the outline die which saves on the die cutting time 😉

Well that's all from me for this week I do hope you've found some inspiration from my posts.
Please join me back here next week when Gill will be sharing her creations with us all.
Have a good weekend and make sure to...
Have fun!

This or That Thursday Ice Cream Swirl

Now the big question of the day is are you team vanilla?  Or team chocolate? Now before you start thinking she's finally flipped her lid! We're talking ice-cream here! It had to be done seeing as how the stamps for this weeks inspiration is the tasty Ice Cream Swirl stamps and Coordinating dies

So which do you prefer This the vanilla version....

Both cards are made the same way just with different ice creams so here's the That chocolate version..

The sprinkles, waffer curls, cone and the pattern paper wrap are all created with the dies that coordinate with the stamps.

So which do you prefer  This?  Or That?

Watercolour Wednesday Ice Cream Swirl

Here on our blog Wednesday's are watercolour days. Now I'm  no artist so colouring with watercolour isn't my thing but I do love to create watercolour backgrounds.  What about you? Does the term  watercolour make you a little nervous? Well today's  sample is one that let's the water and the colour do all the work for you! And it's  going to include the Ice Cream Swirl stamps in a little different way.

So lets start. First you will need some watercolour paper, a piece of grey board ( I use the packaging from other products) and some low tack tape. Now place your watercolour paper in the middle of the board and using the tape secure it down. I like to aim for a narrow boarder around all 4 sides of the watercolour panel.

Next grab your water spritzer, wide waterpainter, reinkers and a sheet of kitchen roll. The kitchen roll can be replaced with any cleaning rag used to clean the brush in-between colours.

Now spritz the water colour liberally.  Add drops of the different colour reinkers into seperate areas on a wipeable surface or on a palette.  Add a single drop of water to your first colour and using a damp brush drop the ink on to the wet watercolour paper. Working quickly clean your brush and repeat until the panel is coloured to your desire.

Now the hard part leave the panel flat, wipe the edges that are covered in  tape, and walk away! Letting the panel dry naturally means that the colours don't get blown together and dry in more of a puddle like fashion.  Patience is a virtue here but well worth the wait in my opinion.

When the panel is completely dry I took the ice cream swirl image and using versamark stamped all over the panel. Next I used white embossing powder and heat embossed the swirls.

At first glance I don't  think you would guess that the lines are created using and ice cream swirl stamp!

The card came together very quickly after this . A turquoise card base and a sentiment die cut using the incredibly versatile Wanted to Say dies and the bright pink and white cardstock.

So here's the final card...

What do you think? Do you like it? I love the bright bold colours and the white lines make me think it looks like tie-dye!

A fun card that whilst it takes time for the drying everything else is nice and quick.

Tips tricks and techniques Tuesday Ice Cream Swirl

Do you ever buy a stamp set just because of the main image which is fab and then realise that there are lots of other fab images there too? Well that's what happened with the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set!

Ice cream swirl stampin up layer card

When looking at the set more closely while the large images are on block's you can see that there are some amazing small images to play with!
So after stamping a selection of images and colouring  them in they were all die cut out!

Ice cream swirl stampin up layer card

Next it was time to put them all together on a card!

Ice cream swirl stampin up layer card

Using a bright colour palette certainly helps to create a very bold card!
Some of the extra images and part of the sentiment from the card front are used to decorate the inside.

So the top tip for this week is to make sure you look at all the images in the set because they might just be some hidden treasures there 🤩

Make it simple Monday Ice Cream Swirl

Hello and welcome 😀 Spring is finally here.... and hopefully here to stay! How do I know ? Well the Ice cream van has been spotted in the neighbourhood 😋 Now I'm  not a huge ice cream person but I do love me a mr whippy ice cream! Some of you might know it as a soft serve ice cream but what ever you call it it's  a sign the the sun is coming out! With the inspiration of the ice cream van I just had to use the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set for this weeks samples!

Now this set is a photopolymer one so great easy stamping as you can see through them! The Ice Cream Swirl also has coordinating dies with them which I will share more of later in the week so keep popping back 😉

Fun Fold Friday - ON STAGE SWAPS

Hello and thank you for stopping by for the last time this week. Here are some more of the amazing swaps that I received from the Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Rotterdam. The swaps are all different and all phenomenal! Thank you everyone for swapping with me.

The little egg box above is gorgeous. It was made by Kreaneeltje, Annette Keotmets. I am sorry if I spelt that wrong. It's SO cute!

This next little card is perfect for a gift card with an Easter gift. It's half an A6 sized card so A7 and I love the way she she has stamped the little bunnies onto one egg and then added the little die-cut one too. Insideit is the egg shaped bunny! Isn't that just gorgeous? This was swapped by Machtdasgluecklich.de from Germany I believe.  Again, sincere apologies if I spell your names wrong.

This book mark is perfect for my new catalogue. This is one of a few amazing little pouches I received and filled with Lavender, it is beautiful and the right size too for the catalogue.  This was made by Perraud Gregorie from France.

The little pomander card above was made by Timonscrap from France. It smells absolutely gorgeous. So does my bedroom too! I am so lucky as my room with the lavender in it is wonderful. So relaxing!

This gorgeous card above was made by the amazing Liz Yuille from the UK. The work she has done on this card is stunning. Liz is a very clever and talented demonstrator, brilliant.

As with all of my swaps I am very lucky to receive every one of them. Thank you everyone.

This is my last card for the week and this is the best card of my day today. I wasn't expecting it at all but Theo came home from nursery this afternoon and very proudly presented this to me. He showed me all  that he did, how he made it and who helped him too. Thank you Emma.
I am one very, very proud Nana.

Well, that's it from me for this week, Cary will be here to share some of her creations or swaps maybe with you next week so please stop by and see how she can inspire you.

Thank you for putting up with me and my swaps this week. Until the week after next, stay safe, keep well and as always.....

This or That Thursday - ON STAGE SWAPS

Hello again, I had planned to make some projects for today but unfortunately both Cary and I came back with an unexpected gift from Rotterdam! A really nasty cold bug!! Consequently, as I have only just woken up again, today and tomorrow I will be sharing some of the amazing swaps that I received from our trip to Rotterdam with Stampin' Up!

What are swaps? When there is a big get-together, meetings or just for whatever, some of us make cards or 3D items to swap for another demonstrators swap, card etc. I made (just for a change) quite a few cards for which I was able to receive so many  amazing swaps from lots of wonderful demonstrators. Here, today, I will be sharing some of them.

This gorgeous card was made by Claudia Laine from France. This was her 1st On Stage event. What a beautiful card Claudia.

These 3D items were all hand made and are brilliant. The large one in the middle has a biscuit on a Rosette, and was made by the amazing Sonja Schulte, an amazing very clever demonstrator.

The tall box on the left is from Irmi's Kreativ, it's a gorgeous carton.

The hot air balloon box is an origami box ideal for storing trimmer and scorer blades in and was made by Pimboli' Stamp from Belgium.

Last but not least is the littleblack box made by Daniell Ehren.

Some amazing creations everyone of them.

Thank you all for swapping with me, I consider myself very lucky to be able to receive a swap from you all.

Watercolour Wednesday - ON STAGE part 2

As I mentioned yesterday, I will be showing again today a few of our swaps for Rotterdam. What an amazing city! Incredible architecture, places to go and see, the people are amazing and very welcoming too. It was really amazing. We travelled with Eurostar. The staff in the UK were amazing. Both going from home and returning to home with the British Rail staff and trains to and from the London Underground trains and staff. Highly recommended. Brilliant! Today, I am showing you Cary and Andrea's card. It is brilliant! I believe that the card base was made using the Deckled Circle Dies. The largest die is a really good size to work with on a rocker card. I love the little boat which I'm sure that many of you know is from the stamp set and dies called Kiddin' Around and the children's boat has a bouncing spring on the back of it. Brilliant card Cary and Andrea.

Make it Simple Monday and Tips Tricks and Techniques Tuesday - ON STAGE

Hello and thank you for joining us. Firstly, as you possibly remember Cary and I went to Rotterdam last week for a Stampin' Up event called ON STAGE. Well, we are home, exhausted and way behind on everything! Consequently, I sincerely apologise for my tardiness in getting my post ready for Monday. 😒😞😪 I am really sorry.

Here are a few samples of the swaps that I made 1 or 2 of for swapping in Rotterdam! They are based around Susan Campfields Flying Seagull card. Her cards are amazing! She is a very clever lady.

These ones are some of the ones for our team mates. I used a few different embossing Folders and stamp sets for for the sentiments for all of the different colourways. The images were from several  different DSP's including... Simply Zinnia, Stippled Roses, Painted Lavender and Perennial Postage. The images were from several different DSP's which coordinate with the stamp sets and I fussy cut all of them!!! I know, I am definitely crazy!!
