Foiled Card - Day 2

Today's card has far less foil on than yesterdays.
When I cut down foiled sheets I usually keep the strips and
so I decided to use them as an accent on this card.

This card is made using the Very Vanilla cardstock and the Washi Tape from the Urban Underground range of products, and once again the stamp set Urban District.

This time, I stamped the letters individually and cut them out using a craft knife and scissors.
Then mounted them onto Delightful Dijon cardstock

The other accent on this card is a few of the embellishments from the same range Urban Underground.
There are screw heads, stars and nuts as above.

There are the most mazing phrases in this stamp set.

Classes

One of this month's classes, our ladies made these lovely cards.

All the products used were by Stampin' Up!
The Night of Navy ones are from the Floral Boutique range
and the Real Red are Sending Love Designer Series Paper packs.

As always, our ladies love to put their own ideas into their projects which we love to see.

Last but not least is the lacy effect on the following cards by using the
Floral Boutique washi tapes and Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies.

The stamp sets used were Floral Phrases, Designer Tin of Cards, Birthday Blossoms,
Cottage Greetings and One Big Meaning.
I hope you'll agree that they have made some beautiful cards.

Weekly Inspiration

Hello, Well, what CAN I say?
Cary really did loose it with her Marbles Technique last week didn't she?
For this week's inspiration I am showing you some projects made using
Stampin' Up! Foil sheets.

This first card was made using the Silver Foil sheet as a main mat for the front of the card.

Using the NEW textured impressions embossing folder Hexagon, I embossed the foil.
The folder is a very thick folder and it's designed so to ensure the detail perfectly.

I believe this is called an easel fold card but this time I added an additional fold too.
I used Urban District and One Wild Ride stamp sets for this card.

The DAD was stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then mounted onto Delightful Dijon.
I love the detail that has gone into the letters.

The additional fold at first covers the message inside as above.

All things bright....

Today 'I've taken it just a step further in the marble marbling front.....I've added bling!!
Now everyone needs a little twinkle in their life now and then and for me one of the most elegant I've found is Stampin' Up!s Dazzling Diamonds.
To create the backgrounds for today's cards I used Versamark reinker in my box of marbles again but this time I applied Heat and Stick powder. Then once I'd heated the powder I sprinkled the gorgeous Dazzling Diamonds over and then gently tapped off the excess. I then quickly used the heat tool to set the glitter and using a soft brush to remove and remaining excess.
The first card shows the process on some soft mint macaron card stock. The second card I tried the process on Stampin' Up! vellum oh boy is it pretty! the photos really don't do either sample any real justice.

Well that it from me this week I do hope you've enjoyed the samples I've shared this week...I enjoyed making them !
Please join us next week when Gill will be sharing some more fab creation with us.
Have fun
Cary xx

pushing the boat out...

Well I had fun playing with the marbles Versamark and clear embossing powder .....So I just had to try other types of embossing powder!!! now my favourite metallic at the moment is the gorgeous copper especially when used with Night of Navy so this is the first powder I had a go with.
Here's the card I made using the copper and navy.

Then I had a play with another of my favourite combinations Crumb Cake and white embossing powder. For this card I also used vellum and layered it over the background to give it another dimension.

Just a bit more...

Playing with the marbles and reinker's was fun but then my imagination took off! What would happen if i used the Versamark reinker? Oh boy that opened up a whole different way to play!
First I used just Versermark and using the same technique as on Monday then applied clear embossing powder and heated to create a fine textured effect to the dark card stock as shown in the first sample below.

Then I repeated the ink and marble on white card stock applied clear embossing powder and heated it. I then used a sponge and applied ink all over the card. The ink is resisted by the heat embossed areas and remains white giving a very pleasing effect.

Then I thought Id try the same technique again but use different coloured inks to sponge over to create a more colourful looking piece of card.

Then I thought what about adding a coloure reinker to the box with the Versamark and then embossing with clear powder. I think the effect is lovely but doesn't show very well in my poor photos I'm afraid...so have a go yourselves to see how cool it is!

not quite so plain and simple....

Today's sample has been created using the same technique as yesterday but I've taken a rather more approach rather than a less is more style!
Today I used reinkers in Mint Macaron and Crumb |Cake. I've used the wonderful Succulents Dies from Stampin' Up! to create what I think is a rather elegant embellishment for the card. Lots of layers also make the card look plush in my opinion.
