TUTORIAL

Tutorial for Tri Fold card

Thank you for the requests for the tutorial.
Starting with an A4 piece of cardstock, Cut along the length at 14.85 cm
Score as shown but initially, 9.9 and 19.8 cm.
This is then scored again between the score lines half way at 4.9 cm,
Only to the 2nd score line

You will have a total of 4 score lines, each one half way between the other excluding the last panel
which will be the main body of the card.
From the top of the card, you need to cut the 1st 2 panels (each 4.9 cm) cut down at 5 cm
to the 9.9 cm mark. From this point, to the main body large panel, cut down at 2.5 cm as the
photo shows above.

It is at this point that you can decide to open the card on the left or right.
Mine are on the left hand side as shown.

Then cut DSP, Glimmer paper, Foiled Card etc. whichever you chose to the measurements
shown in the photo above.

Mine is decorated with Bundle of Love Speciality DSP

Mine has no messages on as yet but I hope you get the idea from there.
I have used Card Front Builder Thinlits for the Christmas trees.

If you do go and make some cards following on from this tutorial,
please, please, please send a copy to us.
We won't post the copy unless you give us permission to.
Thank you, Gill

Weekly Inspiration - Day 5

Today I'm back within my comfort zone.
Very simple Whisper White and Smoky Slate cardstock with Silver Glimmer Paper.

I added a mat of DSP behind the white die cut mat using a piece of card
from the Year of Cheer Speciality Designer Series Paper.
I just LOVE that paper! 4 different designs all absolutely beautiful.

Card Front Builder Framelits were used for the die cutting of the trees and the outer silver frame.

Finally, the double tree die cut was cut out of the White mat then die cut again
from a small piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

Smoky Slate Ink for the message inside to complete the card.
Thank you for joining me this week.
Please pop by next week as Cary will be back to
show some of her lovely ideas to hopefully inspire you.

Weekly Inspiration - Day 4

Hello. Today's post is some more cards that were made for a recent all day class.
This time I used Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler cardstock to make the base card and mat.

I used Carols of Christmas stamp set with Star of Light stamps for the flourish.
The Copper Foiled card was made using the stitched Shapes Framelits.

The ribbon is a piece of the lovely Copper Trim.
This lovely trimming can be cut in half and because it's been stitched together
you can spread it out. It gives a beautiful effect whichever way you use it.

This next card was really 'out of the box' for me.

I used Very Vanilla and Tranquil Tide cardstock for the mats and card base.

A piece of Cherry Cobbler for the spiral from Swirly Scribbles
and a few leaves from the new leaf punch. Topped off with the Copper foiled shape from
the Starlight Thinlits.

I used Cherry Cobbler Ink for the stamping of the message and the stars.

I hope you've been inspired by today's cards.
Please pop by tomorrow and see the last ones for this week.

Weekly Inspiration - Day 3
Here is my card that I made to send out for Christmas and New Year this year.

I used Cheers to The Year stamp set and the Layering Ovals Framelit Dies
and a Foil Snowflake cut in half.

Very clean, plain and simple. Just like me!

This next one was made for our team training day.  I used Hearts Come Home stamp set for this.
Very similar to a red one that I made for the last all day class.
I added Mini Sequin Trim instead of ribbon.

Please pop by tomorrow to see what other cards I can show you and hopefully inspire you.

Weekly Inspiration

Christmas Cards

Hello, today's inspiration is mostly from other demonstrators in our team.
Sunday just gone was our team training Christmas Party. Not only did we have lots of lovely food, fun and games we all made shoe box swaps.
This included all of the products cut to shape and size, to make a simple card or 3D item.
Here are some of those beautiful cards.
My 3D case was a total DISASTER! I'm not showing you it!

The card above was designed by Kim Fee. Gorgeous. I love her work.

I'm sorry but I can't remember who made this one but I love the
DSP folded to give this lovely effect on a card.

The little critters card was designed by Karen Franks. Love, love, love it!

This gorgeous card is so lovely and effective but oh so simple. Perfect.
I am so sorry that I don't remembered who designed it!

This one too, I don't know who designed this either!
Very simple and very effective but so perfect for a young teenager.
Please stop by tomorrow to see what else I have for you.
Have you noticed any SNEAK PEEKS?

RMHC Christmas Cheer Challenge Day 5

Today is the last cards for this week but these were designed by both Cary and me.
The beautiful crisp and clean cards were by Cary. I love the simplicity of the white on white and the gorgeous splash of colour from the others.
The stamp set and framelits we used were Hearts Come Home and Hometown Greetings.

The vanilla cards were designed by me.

That's it from me for this week. I hope you have found some inspiration from the cards shown.
Please pop in again next week to see what treats are in store.
