Sketches - Day 2
Today's post is with another New stamp set.
This one is called Painted Glass.

We used this stamp set for some make and takes so I managed to stamp and
colour in a few of the Mandalas.

I have used Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock for this one.
The Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The gorgeous silver ribbon is retiring but there is an abundance of beautiful
NEW ribbons to come in the New book.

This last picture is where I added some sparkle to the card.

I think the Rhinestones make all the difference.

Weekly Inspiration - Sketches.

Sketches with an Hello and Goodbye.
This last weekend, Cary and I had the opportunity to join hundred's of other Stampin' Up!
demonstrators and meet at our 'ONSTAGE' in Telford.
We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and making new ones too.
We also had a sneak peak at the NEW Seasonal Catalogue.
Well, we were given a catalogue. We are obliged not to reveal any of the products in the book
but we can show projects made with some.
So here we go.

The first card I have used a gorgeous NEW stamp set called Animal Outing.

I used a sketch from here and adjusted it to suit me.

I used Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock and Basic Gray Ink pad.

This next shot is how I dressed it up a little by adding some colouring using Watercolour Pencils
and Rhinestones to add the bling.

I love the little Koala in the Kangaroo's pouch!

Climbing orchid..

Today's card features not 1 not 2 but 3 of the 2016/18 InColors they are Peekaboo peach, dapper denim and flirty flamingo 😊 and if I do say so myself they do go together rather well don't they?? Don't forget though that they will all be retiring at the end of May πŸ˜• so if you like them  don't forget to get them before they go ☺
The card today also uses the beautifully elegant Climbing Orchid stamps and the sentiment is from the Blooms and wishes stamp set..
Well we're of to Telford today for some Stampin Up fun and getting sneak peeks of what's coming in the next annual catalogue.  I hope you'll all have a great weekend
Have fun
Cary ☺ xx

Memories and More..

Need a card in a hurry??
We all do at times and for today's sample I needed a quick and easy card as I'm running out of time! This next weekend is one of my favourite events of the year is being held..OnStage.! For those who don't know Stampin Up! Give their demonstrators the best support I've ever come across and they also hold 2 events a year, OnStage events, where we all come together and share . We share business advice and tip, creative inspiration and we get to spend time with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet ☺
So today's sample took a whole 5 minutes to Crete less time than it's taken to write  this post πŸ˜‚
I've used 2 cards from the Petal passion memories and more card pack.these great cards are definitely a go to for quick cards!! They have images and sentiments galore to choose from so a quick card base 2 cards a little bling and voila all doneπŸ˜€

Polished stone..

Do you like to get messy when you craft? Or are you a neat and tidy crafter? I'm in the first category ..I like the saying "creativity is messy and I'm very creative"!!!😁
We I got a very messy making today's sample lol πŸ˜‰ the technique is called polished stone and uses glossy card stock, reinkers and rubbing alcohol . Take cotton wall balls and soak in the alcohol then drop 3 drops of reinker on to it. Then dab onto the glossy cardstock .get another 2 cotton wool balls and repeate using different colour reinkers. Dab and blend the colours until you achieve the effect you want. Each time you do this the piece will be different they are unique works of art 😊 I also added drops of wink of Stella clear to the card before I started and blended it in as I went to give the pieces a nice shimmer and sparkle, although sadly you can't see this in the photos. I then used black card and die cut the branch and flowers from the colourful seasons dies from Stampin Up.

Ribbon of courage...

Today ive played with reinkers to create a beautiful watercolour wash background for my card. I used watercolour card and wet generously then dropped a few drops of flirty flamingo and daffodil delight reinker onto an acrylic block. I then used my aquapainter to add a few drops of water into each and swooshed across the card. I dabbed the flirty flamingo swoosh with kitchen paper then did the same with daffodil delight. I used a heat tool on cool to speed up the drying process then added another layer of flirty flamingo and daffodil delight.  I heat dried this too. This created a layered look . I then stamped the sentiment from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set from  Stampin Up  in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto flirty flamingo cardstock and punched it out with the Everyday label punch. A few twirls of silver thread and a little bling and the card was finished 😊

I think the card says it all Flirty Flamingo ( And don't forget that this fabulous In-color is  going to be retiring at the end of May!! ) I  just had to use  the Fabulous Flaming stamp set..it's just made to go with this shade of pink!! πŸ˜‰
