Today's samples show how you can achieve a layered look without lots of card or paper.  As an avid crafter #simplestamping can make you look at things a little outside your usual style. It makes pare down and get back to basics but it also allows your creativity to spring forward. #simplestamping  is also great for those who like clean and crisp.

Today's  samples are all about the note cards!! Stampin Up  have brought out a new set of coloured, scalloped edged note cards and they're fab!! Coming in balmy blue, old olive, light pink and terracotta tile you get 5 of each of the 4 colours in a pack. They're perfect for the beginner Stamper as well as those who want to make sets of cards to give as gifts. So today my project combines both #simplestamping and gift giving!!
The bag is a simple no measure bag tied with ribbon. I've also stamped the coordinating envelopes just because I think it makes the set look so cute. I hope you agree 😊

Carrying on from yesterday's post todays sample is all about the background.  You can create gorgeous backgrounds very simply with just inks and stamps. Keeping the colour choices to 2 or 3 means that it doesnt become to fussy and easy for the beginner Stamper to see a good looking finished project.

Well it's #simplestamping week this week so as the name suggests I'll be sharing samples that are aimed at the beginner stamper. That's  not to say that any crafter shouldn't have a go at #simplestamping!!! It can be good to get back to basics and remember that we can create beautiful cards using just stamps, ink and card!.
So today the card I've created uses a single image from the stamp set out of the Hugs from Shelli Paper pumpkin kit. I repeatedly stamped it in a more organized fashion to create the background.  I then stamped the sentiment on a seperate piece of card and cut it up so it was in 3. I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals and voila  #simplestamping card that I think any crafter would be happy to create. Hope you'll join me this week and have a go at some simple stamping yourselves.  😊

In Colours - Lemon Lime Twist. 

For my last post this week, I have been playing with the gorgeous 

Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

I had so much fun I made 2 from 1 piece of A4 card.

 

 

For this one I used the New stamp set Free As A Bird stamp set and the lovely Gingham Gala Designer Series Papers. The papers are sadly retiring. :(

 

I die cut a panel in Lemon Lime Twist using the NEW Stitched Nested Labels 

dies from Stampin' Up!  Then a smaller one in white which I stamped the birds on the branch.

I coloured this with Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua brush.

 

A smaller Nested label in LLT and one in Whisper White completes the front of this card.

I added the message inside with a strip of paper to complete it. 

  

Below are the pictures of the other card that I made. This time I used the In colour DSP.

Again I used the new stamp set Free as a Bird.

In Colour - Day 4

Today I have used the beautiful Berry Burst and Whisper White card.

As most people know, I love monochromatic combinations.

  

I used the beautiful NEW stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia 

which will be available to order from the 4th June. The end of this week.

Another card which is only half a sheet of A4 card which has been folded at 

5.25 cm from each end of the card.

 I used the Tufted Dynamic embossing folder for this one. I embossed both white mats from each side of the card after stamping the long image along the card.

I stamped the Large Magnolia (my favourite plant) and coloured it in using 

Watercolour Pencils and an Aquabrush.

I finished off with the small magnolia and the simple message.

Colour - In Colour - Day 3

Hello. Today I am showing a card using the lovely Fresh Fig in the In Colour family.

 

 

This one Is half a sheet of A4 card folded at 6 cm.  

Then I added a 10 by 10 cm panel with an embossed White panel.

 I used the NEW Button Button embossing folding for this.

The images are from the Follow Your Art Suite. The stamp set is called It Starts With Art.

The stamp set is in the Stampin' Up! NEW catalogue on 4th June.

I used a piece of the DSP from the retiring IN Colours for the inside and the front flap. 

I added a little sparkle using the Wink of Stella clear ink. It gives a gentle sparkle.

I finished off by adding some sequins from the NEW pack of 

Woven Threads Sequin Assortment.
