Stamp set - I Say Hello

Today's card is another straight forward one.
So much so that I made 2 very similar to each other.

I used Whisper White card and papers from the Brights range of Designer Series Paper.
The colour I chose is Bermuda Bay.
This one is just a note card to catch up with an old friend.
You know the ones that you don't get to see very often but they are often on your mind?
This is half a sheet of A5 card folded at 5.25 cm from each side.
Simple enough?

This next one, is again a half a sheet of A4 but this time folded at 10.5 cm (half way).
This time though one half is folded back at 5,25 cm.

I marked the folded edge at 5 cm from the bottom and cut off from that mark to the centre fold.
I used the same DSP as before but this time chose Gorgeous Grape papers.
The panel on the side is just one strip cut along the similar angle.
One part at the bottom and the other reversed and fixed to the top section.

I added the messages onto strips of White and then strips of Gorgeous Grape.
The inner one was glued directly behind the front one.

Hello and welcome back.
Didn't Cary make some beautiful projects over the last few weeks?
She has really set the bar high for me this week!!
 WOW!! No pressure then!
This week, I have been working on a lovely stamp set called I Say Hello.
HERE is the link to the stamp set to find out more.

I used Whisper White and Basic Black card stock and Melon Mambo Ink pad.

A very simple card to congratulate someone on getting their exam results at this time of year.

Many Marvellous Markers...

Happy Friday 😊 so for the last post of the week I thought I'd share what I think is quite a dramatic card. The silhouette against the backdrop creates the drama in my opinion.  The whole card is inspired by Rachel Rife on her blog Rachthestamper. She shared a technique using Stampin Write markers where you take a piece of watercolour card and using the markers and reinkers in various colours ink bands of colour onto it. You are effectively using the markers dipping into the reinker as a way to apply a really inky layer to the watercolour card. Then you take an aquapainter and blend the colour bands together.  As it can take a lot of water watercolour card is best in my mind although shimmery white might work if you work quickly....hmmmm might have to go play now !! So I'll bid you a fun weekend and hope that you'll pop by and see what inspiration  will be sharing with us next week.
Have fun
Cary xx

Many Marvellous Markers..

If you've been following us for a while you'll likely already know but if you're just joining us.....I love rainbow colours!!! And todays card shows an example that makes me sing!!! As the Stampin Write Markers are water based ink you can use them to ink up your stamps!. For this sample I selected the colours I wanted to use. Then using the brush tip, and the side of the brush, I coloured the stamp. When I'd finished colouring I gave the whole stamp a good "huff" to ensure all the ink was moistened before stamping. To complete the rainbow look I used my Stampin Blends, which are alcohol markers,  to colour some basic rhinestones in a rainbow too 🌈 !!
So if you'd like to join me in a round of " I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow toooooooo" I'd be very happy 🤣🤣🤣 .....

Many Marvellous Markers...

A quick post today as I'm off to a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's card and a cupper event. It's always  fun to go to a class or papercrafting event. You can learn sooo much and have a fun time with like minded people. The card I'm  sharing today is a quick 1 layer card. First I stamped the sentiment.  I then  stamped it on a post it note and carefully cut it out to create a mask. Placing the cut out post it note over the sentiment allows me to ink over it without marking the words below. Now I took a selection of marker pens and using a straight edge made the stripes . Hope you like  my quick card got to run now off to craft with friends.....

Many Marvellous Markers...

Do you like the watercolour wash look but want a more controlled way to achieve it? Well I think I might have a tip for you.....cling film, ( also called cling wrap or saran wrap) and Stampin' Write markers.  Place the piece of cling film over the piece of card you are going to use. Now using the markers laydown three lines of colour, be quite generous with it. Gently move the cling film to the side. Now take an aquapainter and apply droplets of water to you're card. (Please use shimmery white or watercolour paper) next take the cling film and flip it over so the marker is facing the paper and lower it onto the card. Now using your fingertips spread the colour out. When your happy gently lift the cling film off. If you have any runs gently dab with the corner of a paper towel to wick the excess up. And voila a lovely watercolour background 😊 For my sample I  used Lovely Lipstick,  Calypso Coral  and Flirty Flamingo markers. Whem it was dry I stamped all over with the flower from Beautiful Day stamp set in versamark and heat embossed in copper powder.
