Most Wonderful Time - Day 3

TodayI have used one of the card fronts for the main mat. I used Real Red for the Card base and this lovely piece of card with gold stars all over. The Candy Canes are from 1 of the 7 printed, die cut sheets. They are all so lovely and versatile I am likely to be making the rest of my cards for Christmas from this set.

I used the Large Starburst punch as yesterdays card and as all crafters know, we always have the odd die cut hanging around waiting to be used. That is the Scalloped Circle.
The set is called Layering Circles.

The message mat is another of the die cut printed stickers which I stamped the message onto.

On the inside, I used a small strip of the card front to decorate the edges and a mistletoe sprig and message to complete this card. I always try to use all of the pieces.

Most Wonderful Time - Day 2

Todays card I have only used a small strip of DSP from the Product bundle.
Adding it to a strip of the Gold Foiled Paper makes it pop even more.
The papers are all embossed with Gold foil decoration in one way or another and the reverse is
simply a printed pattern.
This time I have used an Old Olive card base. I think it shows off the gorgeous real red papers and the card which the deer are on.

I used 2 punches which were the 2" circle and large Starburst Punch.

I added some of the printed mistletoe, stars and reindeer to add decoration.

Weekly Inspiration - Stamp set

Stamp Set - Most Wonderful Time

Hello. This week I have had the pleasure of choosing a stamp set to work with and
I have chosen this lovely one called Most Wonderful Time.
It has a big bonus in that it is part of a product bundle with the same name. The added bonus is
not only is there an 11 piece stamp set but 48 sheets of 6" x 6" Designer Series Papers, 6 dies,12 gold card fronts, 7 die cut sticker sheets, 10 yards of gold/white tinsel trim and 58 Gold, adhesive backed, faceted stars.
Anyway, here is my first project for the week.

I have used a piece of 1 of the papers and although the main colours in the set are Black, Gold, Old Olive, Real Red and White, I have used Cherry Cobbler on the Whisper White card base.
Click the link to the product bundle HERE

I stamped the Christmas Tree in Memento Black Ink and washed Old Olive over, before adding
the little metallic Pearls as baubles.

The Christmas tree inside was stamped with Golden Glitz Delicata Ink pad and
the message finishes off the card.

Pigment Sprinkles..

For today's samples I created an ink pad using the Pigment Sprinkles and baby wipes. I placed a few folded baby wipes on top of the largest block that Stampin Up sell, size F. I then sprinkled the pigment onto the baby wipes, spritzed with a light misting of water and watched as the colour spread.
First I gently placed card on to the pad and smoothed over it with my fingers ti puck up ink. Then I took out my basic pattern masks from Stampin Up autumn winter catalogue and put card onto the mask and secured with low tack masking tape. Then I placed the sandwich down mask first and gently patted the card. Different amounts of pressure gives different  effects.
I had lots of fun creating various backgrounds.  I turned these into a Christmas  card and a gift.
The Christmas  card uses the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and the Christmas Layers dies.
The folio holds 4 cards and is decorated with the same dies and stamp set. The cards use sentiments from the Colourful Seasons stamp set found in Stampin Up  annual catalogue and stamped in basic grey ink.
Well that's it from me this week. I do hope that you've founnd my projects ebjoyable and maybe even have been inspired to have a play with the Pigment Sprinkles yourself! If you have please share your creation we'd all love to see them and be inspired.
Have a great weekend and join Gill next week when she shares more of her talened creations with us.
Have fun
Cary xx

Pigment Sprinkles..

I don't know about you but when I'm  playing...oh sorry creating 😉 with a product like the Pigment Sprinkles from Stampin Up I make lots of backgrounds. I try different colour combinations with different amounts of water etc all in all I end up with quite a few backgrounds but even so I dont like to waste them!! So today's sample is a simple way to get 2 cards from 1 background!
I used the Hand Written Prose dies from Stampin Up to die cut out the word smile from the background.  I then matted it onto a piece of black card so that the colourful background  really pops.
The letters I then used on the second card. I didn't  even waste the off cuts from the background as I used them on the inside of my cards!!
Waste not want not is the motto of the day today 😁

Pigment Sprinkles...

Today's sample is the result of my playing with the pigment sprinkles.  All I did was sprinkle one colour, gorgeous grape, onto water colour paper after I had spritzed the card with water. Boy was it fun to watch the colours emerge!! The bright blue spots are from the same powder...after all purple is made up of blue and red!!
The finished background  reminded me a little of the Aurora Borealis, northern lights,  and I wanted it to be the star of the show so I used the sledge and sentiment die cuts from the Jolly Season dies in black  card to create this card.

Pigment sprinkles

Todays I'm sharing a card which has a fun technique using the gorgeous pigment sprinkles.
For today's card all I did was create a striped pattern with masking tape. I used low tack tape to create a masked off area. I then sprinkled 3 different coloures of pigments, bermuda bay, mango melody and granny apple green.  Then spritzed with water. Then using folded kitchen towel I dabbed the excess off the masking tape so that as I gently removed it there was no spillage.
The finushed background reminded me of wrapping paper so I made a card that resembles a Christmas parcel 😁
For the inside I used the same sprinkle colours on a seperate piece of shimmery white cardstock and created a background. I used this to stamp the parcels on then die cut them out.
