Fun Fold Friday's Hand-Drawn Blooms

Well the temperature  has final gone down a few degrees, which is a blessing for all of us who struggle to sleep  in the heat, here in my part of the world.  But one advantage of not sleeping is that I've had lots of time to think about what card I would create for the last in this weeks featured set Hand-Drawn Blooms.

As always I have included a photo tutorial below to help you to understand my instructions 😉

First start with a full sheet of cardstock and with the longside horizontal score at the half way mark, 14.85cm or 5 1/2". Now rotate the card so that it is in the  portrait orientation and cut in half , 10.5cm or 4 1/4".

On one piece score along the long side at 7.5cm or 2 5/8" from each end. Now the folds for this piece are valley, mountain and valley.( See below)

Next with the valley folds flat, so that the card is folded in half along the center score line die cut or cut an appature with a punch or trimmer / craft knife. With a die I would recommend running it through a few times as it is going through 2 layers of card.

Now re fold the outer panels and set aside. Taking the other peice of cardstock decorate the center of the inside as desired. I have used pattern paper from the pack that coordinates with the stamp set called Artistry Blooms.  Then decorate the right and left hand panels of the inside piece. Again I used pattern paper.

Now with the inner piece folded attach to the card base ensuring that the adhesive only goes on the reverse of the decorated panels.  I folded my piece atted one side then folded the card over to get a good fit.

Now all that remains is to finish the inside decorations and to decorate the front of the card.

Well that's it from me for this week I do hope you've found some inspiration and helpful advice.
