Hello again and welcome back for a week of thank you's. On Sunday this weekend, we had a virtual get together with lots of our crafting friends and family. The purpose was for 'Hug A Hospital'. Throughout the last year many, many hospitals have been run off of their feet looking after, caring for, making well, fighting to keep us all well etc. etc.
Cary saw the information as she trawls around websites looking for all sorts of things and saw this. Their information that hooked us all was 'We are raising the morale of frontline staff in our hospitals everywhere in response to Covid-19, through the giving of virtual and metaphoric hugs from the communities around them.... Our staff, especially the nurses - are exhausted. Whilst the rest of the world is bored of social distancing, mask wearing and staying indoors. Nurses get up day in day out and carry on around the clock.' That was it, we were in. Hug a Hospital's campaign is delivering handmade cards with our own messages of thanks and support inside. So we joined! Obviously!
This week is all about thank you. Thank you to ALL frontline and essential staff, nurses, doctors, cleaning staff, administration staff and everyone else who made their own contribution by working and committing themselves to making the sick and dying comfortable and well and helping to boost the patients morale up too. There are so many people who have had to carry on working throughout this last year and for that, I will be forever thankful for every single one of them whatever their job, I am extremely very, very grateful.
Here is my very 1st card that will be going off to the Hug a Hospital campaign. A very simple card with some designer series patterned paper on and a simple message on the front and inside. I have used some of my retired stash of papers. This is one from 2 years ago called Petal Promenade. The stamp set is called Massive Thanks. Click HERE for more information in my shop. The link will open up in a new window so that you wont loose this page.
If you would like to get involved too, just make your C6 cards, preferably not too many layers or dimensions and in an unsealed envelope. Please remember to write your personal message of thanks too. They can be sent to us (please contact us by email or message us) or direct to the following address
Hug A Hospital, P O Box 119, Haslemere. Surrey. GU27 9HG ENGLAND
Thank you so much xx
