Tips tricks and techniques Tuesday Merry and Bright

Today I'm sharing a set of cards that I have made to show how you can make multiple cards at the same time. In this case 5 cards in less than 20 minutes! It all starts with the fab Merry & Bright stamps and the fun Merry Bold & Bright pattern papers.

Now these papers are not your traditional Christmas patterns. They are as the name say bild and bright and super fun!

So back to the stamps.  One of the things I particularly like about them are the solid sentiments.  They are super easy and quick to cut out . They have a great graphic feel to them that pairs so well with the pattern papers.

So I had the idea to set up a tree shaped sentiment onto a single acrylic block and stamp them multiple times in different colours.

I chose my colours from the colour palette of the pattern paper.  Stamped them out then cut them up. I then made 5 cardbases, cut 5 mays of pattern paper and 5 white mats to go inside the cards. I also punched out 5 vellum circles.

I kept the design simple as the paper and the sentiments are quite busy. The vellum circle which I placed the sentiment onto help to create a slightly calmer area behind them that allow the sentiment to pop of the card.

I stamped a sentiment for the insert mats and adhered them inside the cards.

I chose to use pink and green card bases to give them a little something something.

To complete the set of cards I created a simple box for them to go in. Using the same colours and pattern paper.

Here is the video that shows how the box can be made using the Simply Scored board. I also share a simple homemade shim that allows the lids to boxes to always fit just right.

If you've enjoyed today's post please pop back tomorrow for more inspiration using this fab suite.
