Hello from a wet and wild West Sussex here in the UK. It feels like we're going to need boats instead of cars soon! But the advantage to bad weather?... time to craft! And the Watercolor World stamp is so appropriate on so many ways 🤣
As it's Friday it is of course #funfoldfriday. So here is a super easy fun fold for you to try. It is a pop up card. It all starts with a piece of cardstock measuring 14.4cm x 20cm ( 8" x 5 3/8") scored at 10cm (4") .
Next mark 4.5cm (1 3/4") in from both ends along the score line . Now cut up from both marks 1.5cm (5/8") through both sides of the cardstock. Now open the card and push the cut section in the opposite direction as the card base. This creates the pop up platform.
Then create a card base measuring 14.85cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm ( 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"). The pop up base is then adhered to the inside of the card ensuring you don't apply adhesive to the pop up platform 😉
To decorate the card I created a mat of cardstock the same colour as the card base and stamped the Watercolor World stamp in the same colour ink as cardstock. This technique is called tone on tone inking and is a great way to create texture and depth on your projects.
I used the sentiments from the Perennial Postage stamp set. For the center sentiment I stamped and fussy cut it out then adhered it to a scrap of holographic paper and cut around that too.
Well that's all from me this week. Gill will be sharing her creations with us next week so please pop over to be inspired.
Have a great weekend and whatever your up to...
Have Fun 😀
Cary xx
