Peaceful Gardens and pine tree trimmings cards

If you watched the video of the modified easle card you'll see that I made a shaker element but didn't use it in the end. Does this happen to you too? It does to me 🫣 But that doesn't mean these bits and bobs go to waste does it? Absolutely not! Waste not want not! So I started to play with the bits left over and decided to make a card using them. Well that turned into 2 cards but hey who's worrying about that! 2 for 1 great value 😂.

So here are the cards made using the shaker element. The Pine Tree Trimmings stamps and dies with the fab Tree shaker domes make making shaker elements so easy!

In the video ( link to the video is at the bottom of the post 😉) I was choosing between the darker and lighter options of the pretty Peaceful Gardens pattern papers in the video. I went with darker option for the easle card so decided to use the lighter ones for this card.
I used the element I created but added a white layer on top and a mat behind it on the softer shade of blue called misty moonlight.
Whilst playing with the elements and papers I die cut the tree outline in a piece of pattern paper as well but decided against using it with the shaker element.  So yet again I had to use that piece up 😉😂

I used the reverse side of the pattern paper Tree to add contrast to this project. I also adhered some of the shaker elements from the Loose shaker elements to add a little sparkle to the tree
The nice thing about using these elements is that they are low profile. This means they can be added to the inside of your cards too!
And of course I had to use the white tree die cut from the first card 😉

So what do you do with those leftover bits and bobs?

Here's the video that was the start of it all...
