Christmas Traditions fun fold card

Once a month I host a free craft-a-long event.  This event takes place on the last Sunday of the month via zoom. We create two cards together using our own supplies. The card I'm sharing today is one of the cards we made at the last event. Made using products from the Traditions of Christmas suite collection this fun card was inspired by Heidi Collins.

The suite is a wonderful selection of stamps, dies, pattern papers , embellishments and a 3d embossing folder all in a beautiful palette of reds and greens with luxurious hints of gold.

I don't have a name for this fun card but it is surprisingly easy to make... always a bonus don't you agree 😜.
The card folds flat for posting and has lot's of surfaces to decorate. So plenty of area to be creative with.

The card starts with a card base measuring 10.5cm x 29.7cm scored at 14.85cm. This is part A.
You're going to also need a piece of cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 21cm scored at 6.25cm and 12.5cm. This is part B. These 2 pieces become your card base.
Next it's time to get creative with your paper!
Cut 2 pieces of pattern paper measuring 14.4cm x 10cm,  on for the front and one for the inside of part A.  The papers are going to be adhered with the card in a landscape orientation. Top Tip if using directional paper make sure you cut it in the right orientation . Adhere them to card base part A.
Next take part B and fold the first scoreline as a mountain and the second as valley. This will then fold together to create an "S" shaped piece with the  long panel at the top. Reinforce the folds using a bone folder.
Keeping the piece concertina folded in the "S" shape adhere the folded part B to the front of Part A.  Only apply adhesive to the back of the largest panel. This allows the 2 smaller panels to fold outwards.
Next take a piece of cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 8.97 and adhere to the front folded panel of Part B. ( this piece of cardstock is what is left from the piece of A4 cardstock you start with if you follow the cutting guide below 😉)

The measurements for those in North America are Part A 4¼" x 11" scored at 5½". Part B are 4¼" x 8½" scored at 2½" and 5". The extra piece of cardstock is 3½" x 4¼" . The layout should be as above from 1 sheet if letter size cardstock .

Now go to town decorating the rest of your card!

I used the gorgeous images in the papers to add a floral touch to the inside of the front . The sentiment is from the Traditional Labels set . I used a piece of gold foil to add a little glamour.

And for the inside of Part A I used the Branching Out dies to die cut out a gold foil panel and a white panel to write my personal message onto. I also stamped a sentiment from the Traditional Labels stamps which are a part of the suite collection.

The sentiment on the very front of the card is also from the Traditional Labels stamps.  It was then die cut using one of the coordinating dies. As I wanted to add a layer of gold foil behind it it I also die cut the lable in gold. Then I carefully fussy cut the stamped part following the embossed edges to make it into 2 parts. After adhering these 2 pieces in place onto the gold lable I used 3d foam to adhere it to the front of Part B and let the gorgeous papers do all the work!
