This or That Thursday - Festive and Fun

Today's Festive and Fun cards were exactly that. I really had a great time. The first card or THIS is on Poppy Parade card base with white mats which were embossed with the Stars At Night folder. I love the texture and dimension that an embossing folder can make on a plain mat. It is absolutely stunning! I stamped several of the images onto plain white circles of card using the Deckled Circles Dies. Once stamped, I started colouring, more fun! I die cut some more circles using a larger die but this time I used some of the DSP from the same papers as yesterday, Merry, Bold and Bright. I had made the card a gate fold card base and I added the circles onto the front and one on the inside with a few sentiments it was done.

THAT

The next one is my THAT cardI used the same products again bar the coloured card. I used the fresh bright green of Granny Apple Green.  This is my favourite green of all time I think, it's just so lovely.
The process was also the same except this time I die cut several Deckled Rectangles in white and another piece of the DSP. I made a larger card and made a DL card this time. it's 21cm high by 21cm wide and scored at 10.5cm (8,1/4" by 8,1/4" and scored at 4,1/8" in Imperial). I added a piece of DSP on the front of the card and some matching strips of the paper used for the rectangles too.

Now it is up to you to decide which is your preferred one! Please 😍

Watercolour Wednesday - Silly Goose

Well, as usual, today is for watercolouring but I've added a little extra to today's card. Using the Silly Goose stamp set I stamped the goose that I wanted to use and using the 2 sets of watercolour pencils (I LOVE them)! I dipped each colour into a tiny drop of water. YEP! The pencil itself, no brushes today on these little geese. Once I cut them both out, I added dimensionals to the whole one and put both to one side.

Meanwhile, I found a large Deckled Circles die cut and decided to brush some soft blue of Balmy Blue ink pad and then at the top, a little washed out Azure Afternoon ink pad. I say washed out but it's just some of the brighter blue ink and lots more water so that it's not so strong. I decided to emboss the circle, the card base and the inside mat with the wavy folder from the Cheery Patterns folders. It was perfect!

Fun Fold Friday - Jolly Words

Hello again, I hope you are all ready for the weekend? I know I need to be! Cary and I are holding an event for World Cardmaking Day on Saturday so I need to make sure that I have all of the kits, equipment etc. etc. ready for then. So another busy day again today.  For the last time using the Jolly Words stamp set this week, I have made an easy fun fold. I made a gatefold card which is basically a rectangle of square of card marked at the centre and the edges folded in to that central point. SIMPLE! It is then just a case of decorating.

I wanted to go completely off piste today for this Christmas card so I have use the strong pink of Melon Mambo and the softest pink called Bubble Bath with a little splash of Silver glimmer here and there.

I used the dies from Light The Sky dies over the Bubble Bath card and then embossed using the Snowflake Sky embossing folder over the 2 front panels only. I die cut a star explosion from a piece of the Silver and Gold self-adhesive Glimmer paper and die cut out the explosions from it. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut around the 'Tis the Season' and laid it across the silver panel.

After finishing to the state above, I decided to go a little blingy! I used some retired embellishments as the colour is absolutely perfect. They are the Adhesive Backed Stars, they were one of Cary's very favourite embellishments. I did go quite blingy with them too!! :))

Well, that's it from me for another week. Cary will of course be back on Monday so please stop by to see her creations made especially for you.

Until I return the following week, as always, keep well, stay safe but just as importantly...

KEEP ON CRAFTING!!
