This or That Thursday Trucking Along

Today I'm sharing 2 cards that have been cased from a card made by a lovely lady called Mary Knabe. To case a card is to take a card and recreate it giving it your own spin to it. Copy And Share Everything. The card that inspired mine are not to  my usual taste but the one that Mary made just spoke to me! Both the one's by Mary and the ones by myself are made using the Trucking Along stamps.

I have chosen to case the layout and the colours of the trucks. Where mine differ is that I couldn't decide if I  wanted to use white or vanilla cardstock for the mats that I stamped on ... so I've  done both!

Here is the This version using white stampin mats....

And here is the That version using vanilla cardstock for the stamp mats.

As you may have noticed there are no sentiments on either of these cards. I just couldn't work out where to put them!
I think this vintagie style card works really well for a  masculine card so maybe no sentiment is required 🤔 😉 🤣

If you pop by tomorrow I'll be sharing my fonal card of the week using these veratile trucks.

This or That Thursday Silly Goose

Gill prefers spots.. and I like stripes! So for this weeks This or That I thought I'd see who's team spots and who's team stripes 🤔 So I've  made 2 cards using the Silly Goose and pattern paper.

I started with a pattern paper pack called  Flowers and More. This pack is full of bright bold slightly retro looking double sided 12" x 12" paper... 48 sheets!!

I love all of the papers but chose just 2. Each have a colour palette that coordinates with each other making it so easy to create fun colourful projects. The hardest part was choosing the papers for sure!

So first let's look at the spotty version.

Then let's have a look at the stripes one....

Both cards are identical except for the pattern paper so it really is hard to choose 🫣
Which are you team spots? Or stripes?

This or That Thursday Beautifully Happy

Square or rectangle?  That is the queation for today's inspiration! Using the Beautifully Happy stamps I created 2 focal points. One on a square of card the other on a rectangle. Then  I couldn't decide which to use ! Sooo I made 2 cards!!

Both cards use the same stamps and ink colours. A lovely shade of orange called mango melody, a deep blue called night of navy and a gentle green called pear pizzazz. In keeping with the stamped focal panels I used orange and navy cardstock along with basic white for the card bases and mats.

The design of both cards is clean and simple and really showcase the stamps well.

Here is the first card.

I like the layout of the rectangular card very much. With it's  clean and defined layers it allows the images to shine.
Here is my square version.

The square version has a really fresh look to it with the orange and white with dashes of navy colour palette.
Both cards feature a ribbon bow but I'll tell you a little secret. Both bows started life as a pale peach ribbon!! I used my alcohol markers to alter the colour to fit my projects 😅  Don't you just love it when you can make your stash work for you?
So which do you prefer the square of the rectangle?
