Today I'm sharing a new to me fun watercolour technique. I must first give credit to Barry and Jay over at Mitosu Crafts for sharing this fab way to mix things up a bit! When I saw this technique I knew I wanted to use it with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp.
So what am I going on about I hear you say... well let me explain. You'll need your watercolour pencils, a stamp and a spritzer with water, oh and cardstock of course!
First you're going to lightly mist your stamp with water. Then you're going to colour it in with the watercolour pencils. Then another mist of water and stamp!
The effect is fabulous...
Above is the first impression. I then re-spritzed the stamp with another mist of water and stamped again....
And then again....
And finally....
I love how these turned out so much I had to create 3 cards with them. The first I created a simple card.
For the 2nd impression I wanted to make a card that was a little more stepped up...
And for the final card I went all out using dies and bling.
I love how these simple images can create gorgeous card at all levels of style and skill.
I think this new tequnique will fast become a go to one in my arsenal. What about you? Will you give it a go?
Wow, that is so clever, I love a new technique to try
