Note cards and box

Swirly Bird

Day 5
Today's project is a simple (yes, simple again) set of Note cards.
I have to make several hundred Thank You cards in the next few weeks
so I thought that I would practice!
Also, I don't know about you but there is always an occasion that I need a card quickly.
So I'm going to get ahead of myself!
I have used all of this years new In Colours.
Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo.
I added the butterfly die-cut from Bold Butterflies framelits.
The message is from Bunch of Blossoms stamp set.

I always need a card for some reason or another. I didn't want too many boxes on my table and I needed Post It Notes too.
So I designed this container below.
I have made it big enough to take standard size C6 cards and envelopes too.

The box was decorated before I stuck it all together. (You can't do it after)!

Thank you for popping by this week.
I hope you find some inspiration for your projects.
If you have, please send us a picture to show what you made?
Cary is back next week. I can't wait for her to show you what she has made.
They're really great!

Swirly Bird

Day 4
Today I made yet another wedding card.
This time in Very Vanilla cardstock, the new Fabulous Foiled Acetate and I've used Black embossing powder.
The Foiled Acetate is Gold on one side at and Silver tone on the reverse.
Once again, 2 simple stamps from the same set, heat embossed in Black and oo
Othe message from Flourishing Phrasees.
I finshed off with a strip and the Infinity symbol made from Gold sequins .

Swirly Bird
Day 3
Today's card is similar to yesterdays.
Only the 2 stamps again used for the background again but this time I DID use the framelits.
My son is getting married in August and wedding themes are on my mind a lot.
The rings were made using 2 punches.
The 1" and the 3/4" onto Silver Foiled cardstock.
This time the message was from Flourishing Phrases.
Another beautiful stamp set with some lovely images, words and phrases.
A strip of the 5/8" Organza ribbon finshing off the card.

Swirly Bird

Today's card I have heat embossed in the new Stampin' Up! Copper embossing powder.
It's gorgeous and gives a lovely finish.
A very straight forward card using Emerald Envy cardstock and Ink pad.
I only used 2 of the circle stamps for this card
The message is from Birthday Banners stamp set.
A strip of my favourite ribbon, 5/8" organza ribbon to finish off.
I love this ribbon because of its versatility.
You can stamp on it and colour it to match perfectly any of the brilliant Stampin' Up colours.

Inspiration Week - Swirly Bird

Swirly Bird - 141749

This week I have had fun playing with the Swirly Bird stamp set.
This lovely set has a co-ordinating set of Framelits, which I haven't used this time around.
Cary challenged me to use the stamps and NOT the framelits.
I bought the set as a bundle and saved 10% on buying the items separately.
So, on that note, for this first card, I've used some of the many shapes in the set.

There are all sorts of different types of shapes in this set, as you can see below.

Baby Wipe Technique Day 5

For the last time this week, I think this one is my favourite.
Using First Sight stamp set, Rose Red, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry Re-inkers I made this card.

I love the way that all of the images are in different shades and colours.
Just using the one stamp to create the background, the heart image mounted also onto Rose Red cardstock and the message with all those amazing tones.
I hope you have liked this weeks cards.
Please pop by next week to see what's happening.

Baby Wipe Technique Day 4

Today's card is a blend using Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip.
Honestly, I don't do a lot with the neutrals colours but for some reason today I wanted to!
That WILL surprise Cary!
The added bonus with using baby wipes is that if they are stored in an airtight box or bag, they could stay wet for months!

Anyway, back to baby wipes...
For this one I've stamped the large flower from Birthday Blooms using the colours in the baby wipes. Then, stamped it again and heat embossed in white embossing powder.
Coloured in using Blender Pens with Pear Pizazz and Blushing Bride
I rather like the faded effect of the stamped images over the background.

Baby Wipe Technique Day 3
Today I've used some of the Brights family of colours to make this simple card.
I used tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight this time.
Crazy About You is the stamp set. 30 phrases or words and 3 simple images.
Only £23.00 in Photopolymer for 2 cases of stamps.

I love these 3 colours together and the variation of colours blending throughout
the image.
No 2 images are the same.
 Perfect!

Baby Wipe Technique, day 2
This next card I made a background again but added more Blushing Bride and a few drops of Pool Party Re-inkers.
I used Woodland, Textured Embossing Folder once the card was dry then Botanical Blooms for this leaves.
I then stamped and Die Cut the leaves on Whisper White. I finished off with a few simple phrases and the Acorn Builder Punch.

Baby Wipe Technique

Baby Wipe Technique.

We've been asked to show how to use the Baby Wipe Technique.
A very simple technique using one of the cheapest products you can buy from
Stampin' Up!
Ink Refils.
The price for one of these refils is only £3.00 they can be bought individually or as
a complete 'family' of Brights, Regals or Subtles
  £25.50 for 10 bottles making a saving of £4.50.
In the Neutrals range £15.50 for 6 refils. Saving this time £2.50
The In Colours range, each of the 5 refils are £3.00

The first image this week, I made a background.
I added about 7 drops of re-inker of Pear Pizazz, So Saffron and Blushing Bride,
all dropped randomly over a pair of baby wipes.
I laid a C6 piece of Whisper White card over the baby wipes and pressed gently over it with a clear block to absorb the colour.
Once the layers were dry, I stamped some flowers from Birthday Blossoms over the front panel and the insert.
Added a simple message to complete.

All shapes ....

Yesterday's inspiration box was a cube today's is a large match box!
The box is divided into 3 to hold a set of gift tags. The cover is made from acetate so that you can have a peek at what's inside 😊
The gift tags are little 7cm×7cm kraft cards that can be used as tags with a message inside.
I think this is a lovely little gift to give as a thank you for a special friend or hostess.

Well that's it from me this week. I hope you've enjoyed looking at my samples as much as I've enjoyed making them! 😊
Join us next week to see what my partner in crime and crafting , Gill has to share with us.
Have fun
Cary ☺ x

Good things come in little packages. .....

This fab little box is 3"×3"×3" but holds quite a bit!  Lol
The box is held shut by the belly band that slips off to reveal the box splits open.
I have kept the outside decoration simple because I went a bit bonkers inside! Lol
The decorations are all fussy cut by hand but I think it was worth the effort because I'm pleased with the effect it's created.

Mini album tutorial. ..

Today I have a very quick, although quite picture heavy tutorial for the mini album that I shared on Tuesday.
I hope this makes sense and I apologise in advance for the poor quality photos!  Lol
Well here we go. ...
Materials are simple a sheet of 12"×12" card stock, either a score board or trimmer with a score blade, a bone folder, scissors, strong tape and what ever pattern paper and trimmings you like to decorate your book with.
Step 1 score at 4" and 8" on both sides of the card.
Step 2 cut either side of the score lines as indicated below. I've marked them in black pen just to show where to cut.
I made a boboo and forgot to mark and cut the 4th cut mark!! Lol so here's the other line you need!
Step 3 using a 1"circle punch pushed in half way in the middle of the indicated panels to create the pockets. I've used Stampin ' Up! tear tape as it's nice and strong butas the name says you can tear it! 😉

Step 4 once you've created the pockets now it's time to fold it all up. First fold the top right hand pocket down and behind the center square.

Step 5 fold the top left hand pocket to the right then over the bottom right square.

Step 6 fold the left hand square under the right hand side.
Step 7 decorate to your hearts desire  ðŸ˜€
Well I hope that makes sense and has inspired you to have a go yourself.
Please share finished project either herein the comets or on our Facebook page https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=491857750938993&id=177787089012729
Have fun
Cary ☺ xx

All that glitters....

Isn't always gold!
Today the draw of copper embossing got to me and I have to say I'm loving the soft metallic glow it gives.
I dry embossed the background and used pearls to highlight it then heat embossed the flower out line onto both pattern paper and kraft cardstock then hand cut them out.
I like fussy cutting do you?

One sheet......

One sheet....that's all it took !......
.....To make this cute little mini album!
The album is 4"×4" and a great way to use up scraps of leftover designer series paper and small lengths of trimmings!
This post is very picture heavy so get yourself a cupper and enjoy 😊

Well I hope you enjoyed looking and maybe got a inspired to have ag go
