New at Su blog hop

Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing products from the new and exciting Hot Foil System. Add shimmering details to your projects with all new coordinating dies, stamps, and decorative masks from the Stampin’ Hot Foil Line.

This is my first event as part of this amazing group so please remember to hop around to the others using the link at the end of this post... and of course leaving comments on the posts would be very much appreciated  by all the participants 🩷

OK so here is my project. The simplicity of the design is a great foil for the amazing foiling detail on the acetate window!

The acetate window with the gorgeous Garden Silhouette hot foil dies with silver foil adds such an elegant feature to this card. The card is a simple top folding easel card.
The sentiments are also foiled using both the Classic Greetings foil and cutting dies and the Sweetly Sentimental foil and cutting dies.
The card folds flat for postage but stands to display beautifully.

Violet Dreams slide out gift card holder

I know I'm still in my purple era 💜 but with patter papers as beautiful as the Violet Dreams pattern papers do you blame me?

And when you have such beautiful papers you need a project thats going to show it off!
Today's inspiration does just that in spades! You'll have plenty of places to use it with this easy to create gift card holder.

From the outside it looks just like any other card...

But the inside has a fun slide out section for your gift card to go onto. Although it doesn't just have to be for gift cards you could add an extra message, or a a photo or an invitation list is as long as you'd like it to be!

The stamps used for the sentiments on this project are from the amazing Words & wishes stamp set.

Cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 36cm scored  at 10.5cm and 21cm ( 8½" x 5½" scored at 2¾" and 6¾") for the card base.

For the inset you'll need pattern paper measuring 12cm x 10cm scored at 1cm ( 3¾" x 4¼" scored at  ½")

I also added a piece of white cardstock measuring 8cm x 11.5cm (3¼" x 4¼"

And if you thoughts drifted to Christmas with all this shiny goodness then fear not a winter collection will be available from September!

But before we start talking Christmas let's explore the summer release first! The hot foil dies and mask set that is featured on today's inspiration is the beautiful  Butterfly Flight bundle

The gold coloured images above are the hot foiling dies that coordinate perfectly with the cutting dies and masks making it so easy to create beautiful projects.

Called a pocket flip slider card the fun comes as you pull the insert and the butterflies flutter up the card...

And pull some more...

And then a further surprise when the flip flap opens to reveal....

The sentiment is also foiled from a set of hot foil dies called Classic Greetings.

Now you could write your personal message inside the flip flap but I have added a panel on the reverse with of course more decoration 😉.

The video below shows how I used the Hot Foil System as well as how to make this fun card.

The measurements for the card are here...

Base: start with a piece of cardstock measuring 12.5cm x 29.7cm scored at 14.85cm ( 5¼" x 11" scored at 5½") You'll then need to score the piece at 1cm (½") in from each side along the long sides. You'll need to cut a slit in the front of the card base once you've added your pattern paper. This is in the center of the panel and cut from 1cm (½") down to 1cm (½") up from the fold. The video shows how far eaasier than I can explain here 😉

Insert: a piece of cardstock measuring 10cm x 24cm  scored at 8.5cm ( 9" x 4" scored at 3¼")

Mechanism: a piece of cardstock measuring 1.5cm x 9cm scored at 1.5cm and 3cm from each end ( ½" x 3" scored at ½" and 1" from each end)

Once you have all these piece watch the video here to see how they go together to create this fun card. The card was inspired by one created by a fellow demonstrator called Tina Wardell.

If you have any questions about the new Hot Foil System please give me a shout and I'll do my very best to help 😊. If you have any tip tips for hot foiling please let us all know in the comments below please 😀

Have fun

Violet Dreams fun fold thinking of you card

The pack of double-sided pattern papers that I'm using for today's inspiration is soft and delicate but still has a depth to it that is , in my opinion, beautifully feminine. The pack not only features pretty florals as the name inplies but also subtle prints that are so useful when creating projects. The paper pack, called Violet Dreams, not only contains paper but also 2 sheets of die cut images! Such a help for those who want quick card or don't like fussy or die cutting!

The card comes together really easily and it's a good one to show off all your beautiful papers!...

It stands nicely...

And there is space on the back for you to write your own message...

It folds flat for posting ....

The card folds flat for postage which is always a bonus just remember to not add to much depth with your decorations 😉.

Here are the measurements for the card base.

Part 1 take a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 20cm scored at 5cm, 10cm,  15cm ( 5½" x 8" scored at 2", 4" and 6")

Part 2 take 2 pieces of cardstock each measuring 12cm x 12cm scored at 1cm, 6cm and 12cm. ( 4¾" x 4¾" scored at ⅜", 2⅜ and 4⅜")

The final parts are the 2 support pieces each are made from cardstock measuring 1.5cm x 9cm scored at 1.5cm, 3cm, 6cm and 7.5cm (⅝" x 3¼" scored at ⅝", 1¼", 2¼" and 2⅞")

Below is the video where I share how the card comes together....

I hope you'll be inspired to have a go for yourself soon. 😀
