Homemade Sweetness flip flap birthday card

Is it jam? Or jelly? Preserves? Or conserves? What ever it's called it's full of yummy fruity goodness that's for sure! 😋 unless it's honey that is and then it's just yummy 😋 😜 And these pattern papers called Homemade Sweetness are just as yummy 😋! 

The colours are cheerful and the style is very cottagecore. Which check do you prefer the the b blue? or the petite red?

For this inspiration I decided to go with a fresh green, blue and white colour palette with flashes of the red. The fruity palette is blueberry and cherries 🍒 🫐. All with petite florals and gingham checks.

The sentiments used on this sample are from a set called Words & Wishes. They're all stamped in the blue shade called blueberry bushel. 

The fruit and jam jars are all fussy cut from the papers. 

The extra flap on the inside gives you lots of spaces to decorate. It would also work well as a gift card holder or with the addition of a pocket cash or tickets. 

The card would also work as a photo card or one where lots of people wish to write a message.

Here are the measurements for the card. 

For the card base part 1 you'll need a piece cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 25cm scored at 10.5cm and 21cm ( 5½" x 10" scored at 4¼" and 8½").

Card base part 2 is a piece of cardstock measuring 8.5cm x 17cm scored at 8.5cm ( 3¼" x 6½" scored at 3¼").

Pop up masculine card waterside retreat

 Mens cards can be tricky but with the stunning Waterside Retreat   pattern papers and the coordinating stamps and dies called Relaxing waterside it's a much easier task! One thing I particularly like about these papers is that included in the designs are 2 sheets of what I call cut apart sheets. These sheets contain beautiful images and are perfect for those who prefer not to stamp and colour as well as those in a hurry or in need of inspiration. 

The card is a 14.8cm x 14.8cm (5½" x 5½") square card that uses one of the beautiful images from the cut apart sheet.

The surprise comes on the inside...

With a pop up feature that is also decorated with one of the cut apart images!

The sentiments and die cut decorations are from the relaxing waterside stamps and dies. The wood plank paper is also in the paper pack.

This fun fold card folds flat for pasting which is handy.

Below are the dies that are used for the sentiment on the front. Called Words & wishes with both script and shadows as well as other dodads this set is an asset to any craft stash!

Here are the measurements for the card.

Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 29.7cm scored at 14.85cm ( 5½" x 11" scored at 5½")

A piece of pattern paper measuring 14.4cm x 29.2cm scored at 14.4 and 7.2cm from each end.( 5¼" x 10¾" scored at 5⅜" then at 2 11/16" from each end) . Measure 2cm along the center  fold when folded  and cut up for 0.5cm from each end. Then cut between these cuts to create a slit ( move along the center fold  ¾" then cut up ⅛" next cut between these cuts) watch the video to understand what this looks like 😜

The center strip is created from a piece of cardstock measuring 5cm x 29.7cm scored at 1cm from each end. (2"x 11" scored at ⅜" from each end.

Flip flap card in Barely Blush

 Sometimes a card needs very little by the way of cardstock and today's inspiration is one such project. All it takes is a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 17cm! (5½" x 6¾") Yup it's very cardstock friendly for sure! The real fun comes from the way this piece of cardstock is scored and cut. The fun flip flap action of the card is such fun..and all it takes is a little patience a couple of scorelines and a bit of cutting 😀 The decoration for this card is a great way to use up some of those scraps as it's all smaller pieces!. The card today is decorated with one of the beautiful Bloom boutique pattern papers. These papers have such pretty ditsy floral designs that feature gold foiling. 

The Barely Blush colour is a beautiful soft pink. The flower here is stamped onto barely Blush cardstock in Barely Blush ink . Then the flower was coloured with the beautiful Barely Blush Shimmer brush before being die cut out. The stamps and coordinating dies are from a set called Boutique Blossoms. 

The sentiments used are from 2 sets called Sending Salutations and Scalloped Blooms.

I've used 2 different pattern papers from the Bloom Boutique pack because they're both too pretty not too! 🫣

The card folds flat for posting but stands well for presentation 👌 

Here are the measurements 

Base... a piece of cardstock measuring 14cm x 17cm (5½" x 6¾"  ) marked at 3cm (1¼") on all side then scored and cut as shown below . (North Americans score at 2¾" and 4" but follow the same score and cutting as below)
