Simple fun fold for pattern paper

On Monday last I held my monthly card and a cuppa session.  At these events I design 2 different cards . Those attending can choose which card they'd prefer to make to go along with their cuppa and all the chatter and good company that these mornings are full of. The first card design is a great one for using your pattern papers up. This card is made using the bright and zingy Fruit salad pattern papers and the gorgeous Citrus Blooms stamps .

The second card also uses pattern paper and is a super easy fun fold! Start with a standard C6 card base the cut a piece of cardstock in the same colour measuring 10.5cm x 14cm and score at 7cm. This is what I call the mini card. You'll need 2 white mats each measuring 10cm x 6.5cm on for the front and one for the inside. You'll also need a piece of pattern paper measuring 14.4cm x 15.2cm ( or the width of a piece of 6"x6" ). Score the paper at 10cm making sure the print is going in the right direction. I've used the fun Toadstool Gardens paper pack.

Adhere the 10cm piece of the pattern paper to the card front. The part after the scoreline will fold over. Next adhere the coloured mini card base to the center of the card front with the scoreline on the left-hand side. The pattern paper will then tuck inside the card.
Decorate the front of the minibar as desired I added the white mat then a mat of another piece of pattern paper and decorated with stamped and fussy cut out images using the delightful  Terrific Toadstools stamps.
For the inside of the mini card I stamped a sentiment and more images from the Terrific toadstools stamps.

For the inside of the cardbase I cut a mat of white cardstock measuring 10cm x 14.4cm and used the small stip of pattern paper that I cut off to make the card front. I then stamped and fussy cut another cute toadstool and adhered it to the mat as well.

Here are the samples of this design from Monday's card and a cuppa.  The pattern paper on these is the beautiful Bloom Impressions.

Here is a fun photo of a wonderful young man who made his first card when he attended with his nanny.  Didn't he do well 😀 and nanny had fun too 😉
