4th August Bokeh Variations

Burgess Hill Class
Bokeh Variations
These were done by spraying water over the card front and then randomly dripping ink over it using ink refils.
Once you have dripped the colours you like, gently pat it dry with paper towels.
Leave it to dry for a few minutes or help it along gently with a heat gun.  Don't use the heat gun too hot as you may scorch the card.
Using small through to large circle punches, punch one of each sized circle out of a piece of acetate.
Once your mat is dry, lay the acetate over and sponge Whisper White ink into the circles, the larger the circle, the softer the effect.
Continue to lift and move the acetate all over the mat until you are happy with the result.
As you can see by the cards the ladies made, the small circles stand out more and
the larger ones tone the base colours down.
Add some White Perfect Accemts or Rhinestones to add a little sparkle.
No two mats will be the same, as you can see.

These are some of our lovely ladies in the class.
They are so talented.

23rd JulyWindow Cards

Window Cards
Warnham Class

The ladies had a great time making different versions of the window cards.
One had a single pane, and others were through several window panes.
Very simple to do but such a lovely effect. It looks as if your
looking through the window into the garden.
Since the class, Stampin' Up! have bought out a die to cut the window or fireplace!
Item no. 139666 at only £18.00
Perfect!

7th July Baby Wipe Technique Class

Baby Wipe Technique
(Making your own Ink pads)

This lovely class we made with our ladies in Burgess Hill.
One of our ladies doesn't do messy cards and was a little concerned when first shown. Fortunately, we were able to show her and all the other ladies how simple it was and also NOT messy.
Starting with 2 baby wipes and a disposable plate or tray, we dropped the light ink refils randomly over the wipes. Colour by colour continuing to add each one randomly over the wipes.
Take the stamp and place straight onto the wipes and then stamp onto the white cardstock.
Once you are happy with the images, add more ink refil drops of different colours.
You can just start off with another few wipes if you would like to keep the originals.
The second image was done after adding reds and orange tones to the original wipes.
When to stop? Whenever you decide to.
The wipes can be kept for maybe a week or two,
providing that you store them in an air tight bag.
This is a great way to blend colours and get your own individual choice of pattern.
How brilliant is that.... no two flowers are the same?
Didn't they do well?

1st cards
Very well done ladies. I love these.

WOW! What a Summer!

WOW!
What a summer!

Once again, it seems like we're always apologising!
Cary celebrated a milestone birthday,
as seen in the previous post Cary's daughter Tyler got married.
Gill's son Jonathan proposed to his gorgeous girlfriend Jemma (at last).
She said YES!
Finally...

Gill has been locked out of the blog for ages!!

UNTIL NOW!
In the famous words:
I'M BAAAACK!!

He really is a hopeless romantic. Bless him!

Now to post lots of lovely things that we and all of our lovely ladies and young people
have been making this summer...
