Sunny and bright...

Well we might have snow here but the sun sure is shining 😊 it looks lovely....until I have to go out that is!! Lol
Anyway here's today's sample. It too is a bright sunny colour. I've stamped on to the vellum layer using versamark then covered it in white embossing powder then heated it give what I think is rather a lovely effect.

Spring....

Well that was a very  Chaotic week !!! Apologies for not sharing any posts but Gill is mid house renovations, I had family issues and we both have been ramping up for our upcoming crafting retreat!!!fingers crossed we're both over the worst of it and normal services will resume soon 😉
Anyway where we live spring is definitely springing up!  We have both crocus and daffodils popping their lovely heads up all over the place. They are such a welcome  sign that longer days and brighter weather are on their way so uplifting for the spirits 😊
So in honour of spring I've chosen go use the delightful You're  Inspiring  stamp set from Stampin ' Up! This week as it features beautiful daffodils .
Today's samples are simple and also feature Stampin Blends and the cards from the sale-a-bration catalogue.

Sketches Day 5

Today is my last for the week, I thought I would go with a fun theme.
You've Got Style is the stamp set that tickles my imagination for this one.

Using Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstock and inks for this one.
I also used the Watercolour Pencils too for the colouring in.
I don't know what it is about colouring but I find it very therapeutic.
I guess that's why they have classes to help people with stress and other issues.

Once again I have used the 1/4 " Double Stitched Ribbon for the edge that I cut off.
The paper is from the Myths and Magic DSP which coordinates with the
Magical Day stamp set I used earlier this week.

A little bling from the Rhinestones and that finished off this card.

Here is the card made by Linda Callahan that gave me the inspiration for mine.

Sketches - Day 4

My card today is all things bright and beautiful.
Well, if you don't think it is thatt's fine but it's certainly bright!

I used Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight for the brightness and of course
Whisper White for the inner mat. I also used the Oh My Stars embossing folder on the yellow mat
and a strip of the gorgeous paper from Delightful Daisy.

The little flowers were punched from the Blossom Builder punch and the big flower is from Birthday Blooms stamp set which I heat embossed and coloured in with the Watercolor Pencils.

The ribbon is called 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon. It has crosses on one side and dashes on the other.
It also comes in Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride.
The bling is provided by the Clear Facetted Gems.

Here is the sketch Francesca designed from Sunday Sketch and Stamp : Sketches website.

Sketches Day 3

My project for today is slightly different to the sketch that I saw.
This reminds me of looking through a window to the flowers.

I used Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock for this one.
The Lots of Labels framelits for the windows and message and the gorgeous Pretty Label punch for the
lady.

The stamp set is Beautiful You from the annual catalogue and the
DSP is Petal Passion papers from the seasonal catalogue.

I was inspired by this sketch from Marie. I'm sorry but I don't know her other name.

Weekly Inspiration - Day 2

Sketches Day 2

Today I have used Washi tape called Pick a Pattern from the Annual Catalogue.
I thought that this went well with the Dragon stamp from Magical Day
which is in the new Seasonal catalogue.

As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew that I had to have it!
I LOVE DRAGONS!!!

I used Real red, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock for this set and to get the indented corners, I used a half inch punch to pop out all of the corners.
The Stampin' Up! circle punches have a little mark on the inside which shows
the 4 quarters of the circle.
Very clever!

I used the Hexagons Dynamic embossing folder for the background.
Used in this case it reminds me of chain mail or armour.

Today's card is from a sketch by Karen Giron.

Weekly Inspiration

Sketches

This week I am showing some sketches that I've seen and made some cards with them in mind.
This is the sketch that stampingfor pleasure has shown and inspired me.

I've used one of my favourite stamp sets for this card. Lovely as a Tree.
The simplicity of these trees is amazing.
They are so versatile, that they could be used for almost any ocassion.

I stamped the image 3 times onto Whisper White cardstock and matted them onto Old Olive cardstock.
I used Woodland Textures embossing folder for the background.
I embossed the inner mat too and pushed some of the image back to give the woodland effect inside.

I've matched the design as close as possible to the one below.

Then added messages from Five For All stamp set to finish off.

Emerging resist is a wonderful technique.  It's fun to get a little messy and play with colour. It's also an easily achievable technique.
You start by Stampin the image in Versamark ink and covering in white embossing powder then heating. Then using a spong dauber apply ink over the top and the image resists the ink and pops out at you 😊
For today's card i also used a mask to create the circle of flowers. I punched a circle out of a post it note and placed it in the center of the card. Then I stamped the image  and heat embossed . Then I returned the mask and added the colour . When the mask is removed it leaves a clean circle in the middle  that makes the sentiment pop.😊

Memories and More...

Today I've made a super quick card using Stampin' Up! Memories and More cards. These super cute cards come in various sizes and are great to make a fast card. The images are gorgeous and the sentiments are lovely. But also includes are cardstock stickers, acetate overlays, die cut images and more!! Great value and as the name suggests Mont just for memory keeping! I've used the set from the spring summer catalogue called Petal passion . I've used a card that has the beautiful  flowers on it then using a blender pen and ink pads I've coloured it in! I then used a sentiment card and die cut it into an oval and decorated it with the heart stickers which I've also coloured in. I hope you'll have another look at the memories and more card packs as they offer a wealth of opportunity for great cards 😊
