Not everywhere has snow but a card with snowflakes and knitted mittens is just so evocative of Christmas ! All these thoughts were inspired by the simply stunning Winter Dreams pattern papers. The background of the paper is the gorgeous secret sea colour. This colour is a dark shade of blue/green that is a wonderful addition to any colour palette! The designs on the paper are silk screen printed in white to give a dimension similar to flocking.
The snowflakes , herringbone and softly falling snow are so easy to use and pair with many different colours!
For today's inspiration we chose to use Hydrangea Hue a beautiful soft blue/lavender colour and white of course.
Here is a close up of the herringbone paper isn't it just like knitting?
And how beautiful are these snowflake stamps?
And don't forget the cute mittens and the so heartwarming sentiment.
The card is a fold which I'm calling a double book binding gatefold card. This fun take on the gatefold card makes for simple yet impressive card. It stands beautifully yet folds flat for postage.
To make the card you'll need...
A piece of cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 29.7cm scored at 5cm and 7.4cm from both ends when the cardstock is landscape. (4¼" x 11" scored at 2" and 2¾")

I'm sorry this post is a little later than usual life just has a habit of getting in the way of creating sometimes 🫣 With that in mind today's inspiration is perfect for those who are time poor but still want a wow card. I'm calling it the surprise inside card. I've used the amazing Dreamy Snowflakes stamps and the stunning Shining Stars dies.
These snowflake stamps are so beautiful and the set includes some wonderful sentiments. There is also a coordinating set of Hybrid dies and embossing folder. I've used the embossing folder on the project too 😉.
The card shown here features background paper that I created using inks and white cardstock. If you watch to the end of the video I share a very quick tutorial on how the background was created.
The colour palette used is a modern twist on traditional red and greens. I've used a lovely hot pink called melon mambo and a vibrant yellow/ green called lemon lime twist.
The snowflakes were heat embossed with silver embossing powder to add that extra sparkle.
The fun comes when you open the card...
And boom out comes these stunning stars 🌟!
The mechanism for this card is super easy and quick. It all starts with a simple A6 (A2) card base....
Card base is made from a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm ( 8½" x 5½" scored at 4¼")
Mechanism is 2 pieces of cardstock measuring 2cm x 9cm scored at 2cm, 4cm, 6cm and 8cm (¾" x 3⅜" scored at ¾" , 1½", 2¼" and 3")

Now that's what I call and easy fun fold with l wow and lots of potential for so many different occasions, styles and ages!

Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing project that are "Fontastic".
Stamped , die cut or hot foiled there are so many different fonts available from Stampin' Up! It was hard to choose what to use!
In the end I went with alphabet dies. I have used both the largest ones and the smallest!
The largest ones are called Party Alphabet and they have such an impact on any project that I decide they were perfect not only as a focal point but also part of the structure of the card it's self!
This peek-a-boo style is a great way to add a little something extra to a card for sure!
To create the front of the card start by die cutting 2 cardstock and 1 pattern paper of each of the letters. Adhere the 2 cardstock ones together but leave the pattern paper ones seperate for now.
Next you're going to need a piece of cardstock measuring 21cm x 12.4cm scored at 9.9cm. ( 8¼" x 4¾" scored at 1")
You're also going to need 4 pieces of cardstock each measuring 21cm x 2.5cm ( 8¼" x 1")
To create the peek-a-boo use a pencil to gently draw a line alone the bottom of the large panel of your cardbase 2.5cm (1") up. This will be your guide as you place the letter die cuts. Ahere the top most of the letters along the edge of the folded over panel of the card base. Then align one of the 2.5cm (1") strips along the bottom edge of the card base and adhere the bottom of the letter die cuts to it. Making sure that the edges of the strip remain aligned to the cardbase.
Next sandwich the bottom of the letters with another of the 2.5cm (1") strips. This gives strength to the card.
The remaining 2 strips have been dry embossed using the softly woven 3d embossing folder and adhered onto the top and bottom panels as shown.
The pattern paper die cuts are then adhered on top to give this pretty finish.
The inside of the card is decorated using contrasting pattern paper so that the letters are highlighted. The word birthday is created using the other alphabet dies set called Mini Alphabet. I then used a scrap of acetate to adhere the letters to so that they can be firmly fixed over the peek-a-boo elements.
The reverse of the card is where you will write your personal message.
Of course you have to decorate everywhere so a scrap of paper and one of the amazing hot foil sentiments from the Classic Greetings set in gold foil worked perfectly 👌
There is also a bonus projects for today's inspiration made using the left over pattern paper which was used to die cut the large letters from!
And of course I couldn't leave the inside unadorned so used some more scraps and left over sentiment.

Just a quick post this week as I'm running around in circles chasing my tail but I had to share this beautiful card featuring the amazing Shining Stars dies. The card folds flat and fits a standard C6 (A2) envelope...
And once the front is folded open it revels the second layer...
Which once opened reveals the 3rd!
Not to be out done the 3rd layer also stands up for display .
Whilst it looks complicated it truly isn't!
And where do you write your personal message I hear you ask... well on the back of course!

A fun Christmas card with a cute deer on front of the card has to be winner right? Well this one sure is! And it's nice and easy to achieve. Made using the amazing Creative Celebrations pattern papers. And the adorable deer is one of the die cuts from the die cut sheets included in this paper pack! Having everything in on 6" x 6" pack is just brilliant! The colours all coordinate and the patterns all work so well together too!
Here are the die cuts. You get 2 of each design along with 8 sheets each of 4 designs of double sided pattern papers in the pack such good value!
All you need to add are cardstock, sentiments and embellishments to create gorgeous fun projects.
Here's my inspiration for today. A simple double Z fold card with the fun addition of a tag that acts as a closure.
The card ladies flat as well as stands when folded together both with the tag in and out.
The tag pops out to allow the card to open out to reveal lots of space to decorate or write your message.

Sometimes cards can look a little intimidating don't you think 🤔 And sometimes all you need is to make a few tweeks and think outside the box to discover that actually there are some real easy hacks to use! Well today's inspiration is one such project. Stepper cards are fun and gorgeous but can be a little overwhelming with all the scoring and cutting. But today's inspiration is an easy version with very simple scoring and no intricate cutting 😀. Called a faux stepper card it has a wealth of options for you to play with. The card I'm sharing uses the beautiful Creative Celebrations pattern papers and the oh so adorable Christmas Mice stamps and coordinating dies.
The papers have a wonderful mid century modern/ contemporary feel to them with their reds, pinks and greens colour palette. The pack not only contains sheets of double sided paper but also die cut sheet of images that are so darn cute!
And when paired with the adorable mice in the Christmas Mice stamp set your sure to be on a winner!
So here's the card it's self...
The steps on the card offer so much opportunity for decorating ✨️ and allow the card to stand beautifully.
I couldn't resist sharing a close up of one of these cutie patooties 🐭 ...
I used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour the mice in shades of smoky slate gray and bubble bath pink. Using the colour lifer pen to soften and blend out the edges and add texture to their fur.
Of course I couldn't leave the back blank so decorated this are with another mouse and strip of paper and die cut from the papers. This is where I'd write my message to the recipient of the card.
So how to make the card? Well you're going to need...
A piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 24cm scored at 8cm, 16cm, and 20cm ( 5½" x 9½" scored at 3", 6", and 7¾") for part 1.
For part 2 you'll need a piece of cardstock measuring 6cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm ( 2¼" x 8½" scored at 4¼").

This simple stepper card can be decorated in so many ways that you'll be able to create it to suit your needs easily! For today's inspiration the colour palette is inspired by the stunning Whispering Woods pattern papers. The shades of blues and greens with crisp white are just gorgeous.
These gorgeous papers are also Stampin' Up! 's product giveback. This means that £2.50 from the sale of each pack is donated to charity. The charities that the money is being donated to are ones that support the empowerment of women within each of their markets ( North American, South Pacific and Europe).
