May's Warnham Class.
Exploding Boxes
We chose this class to help everyone with cutting to exact measurements. This is the simple, straight forward,.4-sided exploding box.
starting with 30 cm by 30cm for the outer layer, 27cm by 27cm for the second layer and 24cm by 24cm for the inner layer. 14.5cm by 14.5cm for the lid.
You may be able to see that both sides of each layer has a different layer of DSP, Glimmer Paper or Vellum cardstock.
The box above is not complete yet but below is an example of a completed one. This is the exploding box that Gill has made for her baby who is turning 21 on 27th May. Some of the products used is sadly retired but as it's for someone special.... Kai won't mind!
Exploding boxes, can of course be made in many different shapes. i.e. hexagon, octagon , pyramid...
Please contact us if you'd like to have a go.

This weeks class at the Craft Den
The Circle Card Thinlit is one of my favourites. It gives an unusual shape to the cards and just by extending the cardstock OVER the Thinlit instead of under, you can make an even longer card. These were made using cardstock measuring 13.8cm by 20cm. If you extend the card a little more to 22.5cm, Cut the card once then reverse it and cut again with the thinlit. You will then get a larger card and the two circles almost together. See Below.

Well, here we are again.
Cary and Gill along with many, many friends spent an amazing weekend in Telford.
We attended the Stampin' Up! Regional training where we had the opportunity to swap with hundreds of other demonstrators. The object is to make card samples (usually the same) using
Stampin' Up! lovely products.
Over the next few weeks we will be showing you many of the amazing swaps we were given.
Firstly, the swaps that we made.
Keep popping by and have a look as we're sure that you'll find some inspiration in looking at
the beautiful swaps everyone made.
