# Simplestamping - Day 5

The last card for this week is completely different.

Don't get me wrong.. it was still very simple. 

Onto a Whisper White card mat, I stamped the orchid in Versamark. 

I used Rare Blessings stamp set for this card.

Then I poured White embossing powder over before I heat set it.

Unfortunately, as it's white on white, it's very difficult to see.

I used Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade ink pads.

Using sponges, I started at the bottom of the card, with Daffodil Delight. 

Then one by one all of the other colours. 

It is so satisfying smooshing or sponging the ink over the paper.

 

Once I finished sponging, I cut it to size and fixed to a mat in Night of Navy card before 

layering it onto the Whisper White card base

I stamped the message in Night of Navy inside and out.

I had a scrap of the paper left from where I had trimmed it down, so added

that to the inside too.

You can always find uses for the bits that get cut off.

#Simplestamping - Day 4 

Today's card I got carried away with. 

I LOVE Butterflies. They are so graceful, delicate and very fragile.Perfection.

I used Butterfly Wishes stamps for the images and messages.

I used Purple Posy card for the card base, the flowers and Butterflies. 

As we are still awaiting the Purple Posy Ink pads, I stamped the images and 

messages using Highland Heather. The ink is slightly darker than Purple Posy 

but is an excellent substitute.

I stamped 2 of the branches onto the card base then several of the butterflies and flowers before fussy cutting them out. 

Surprisingly it was a very quick process.

I used Dimensionals to adhere them to the card base.

I finished off adding a message to the front and then to the inside.

A few of the remaining pieces I added to the inside.

#Simplestamping - Day 3

Hello, Today I've gone very arty!

Using Crafting Forever, I stamped straight onot a Whisper White card base using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

 I gently coloured the image using Watercolour Pencils and an aquamarker brush. 

Then I added a simple message which I happen to live by!

 

I added another message on the inside which sums me up perfectly!

 The scissors were for fun. :)

#Simplestamping - Day 2

Hello. Today's card is one for the man in your life, in my case, my son.

The stampo set used today is A Good Man.

 A very simple card with0 some matting and layering.

My first thing was to colour wash over the Whisper White mat. I used 

Seaside Spray ink which was stamped onto a block. Then using a water brush, I squeezed a few drops of water onto the ink. It can be done using a small paint brush and water too.

 I stamped the image onto another Whisper White mat in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I also added a little of the blue wash on this too.

I finished off by adding the hearts and the message to the inside mat.

I ran the edges of the inside mat through the in pad just to define 

the edges of the mat against the card base.

#Simplestamping - Day 1

Hello and welcome back. 

This week I've had the fun deciding what simplestamping projects I can make.

My first was made using the beautiful stamp set called Daisy Lane.

I used Blueberry Bushell and Whisper White card but the white mats

were stamped with the small flower from the set with Seaside Spray Ink pad.

I stamped 2 more flowers and fussy cut them out with scissors.

They were both fixed to the card using Dimensionals. 

 

I fixed a flower to each side of the card. The one on the right side was placed so the

message mat could slip under the flower when closed.

 

The finished inside of the card. 

I stamped a few of the little flowers and added this lovely message.

We are not planning on trying to order any blades because we have been told that individual customers have a better chance to obtaining the blades than demonstrators do. And, in any event, we too are limited to 3 packs.

Pretty Peacock..

Wow that week went quick!! Sorry I missed yesterday but It was my birthday so I gave myself the day off 😉.
So for the last sample of the week I have ised one of the most gorgeous foil papers I've ever seen! This beauty is to be found in the noble peacock foul pack in the stampin up annual catalogue.  The embossing folder that I've used is a sneak peek at a product from the upcoming winter catalogue.  It's  called hammered metal and is a gorgeous 3d embossing folder so is full of dimension and brings lots of texture to a project.
Well I hope you've enjoyed this weeks samples as much as I've enjoyed makeing them. For the next 2 weeks Gill will be sharing her inspiration with us so please pop on by and take a look and leave a comment or 2. We really do appreciate the comments that you leave for us.

Pretty Peacock...

So today I've  decided to change up my style. Out with the clean and crisp and less is more style and in with the layered and the "more" is best style 😁 I've kept the colour palette simple and monochromatic,  just white and pretty peacock. To create depth and a layered look with ink I've employed the 1st , 2nd and 3rd generation stamping. To achieve this all you do is rather than reink between stamping you huff to  reactivate the remaining ink on the stamp, then stamp. With a deep colour such as pretty peacock you can achieve quite a few generations . To add another "layer" with ink I've  stamped tone on tone. That is I've stamped in pretty peacock ink onto pretty peacock cardstock.  Then of course I've used layers of card and the added depth of the daisy embellishment.  So all in all a little "more" than before but I hope you like it 😁

Pretty Peacock...

A quick and clean card for today. Inspired by a fellow demo friend, Lesley Lendon,  who's  Card and a Cuppa event I went to recently. I've  paired the pretty peacock up with splashes of grapefruit grove, a  2018/20 InColor, and costal cabana, from the brights family. I think the overall effect is fresh and bright. 😊

Do certain colours trigger memories for you? Well the colour that I've chosen to feature for this weeks inspiration sure does for me. As a child in the 60's my mum chose a beautiful strong teal blue for our living room accent colour. I remember a gorgeous glass vase and rich checked satin curtains in particular. All these memories were brought about because when I  asked our class attendees at our last event what colour they'd like me to showcase for the week they chose the beautiful 2019/21 InColor Pretty Peacock...a stunning teal blue colour!!!
So to start the week off I've chosen to keep it clean and simple using just whisper white and pretty peacock.  The stamps are from a lovely vintage looking set called Very Versailles.   Oh and do you spy the sparkle?

Stamp Set Day 5 - I Say Hello  

Hello again. 

For my last card this week I have made another diagonal card.

Using the other half of the card from, yesterday, I first stamped the row of little hearts around the edges of the front of the card in Memento, Tuxedo Black ink. 

Then I the added the Congratulations to the front.

I had a Stitched Oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits left over from another project and once again, I fussy cut a few of the birds from the Bird Ballad DSP. 

I mounted them all using Dimensionals. 

To complete this one is a simple message from the set and some little

flowers from the bird papers.

Stamp set - Day 4 I Say Hello 

Hello again. 

Today's card is one that I love the style of. I hope you do too?

I love to use Designer Series Paper or double sided paper, otherwise known as DSP.

I scored a sheet of Mango Melody card half way along in both directions. 

Then cut it diagonally going through the centre folds.

One can be made a portrait card and the other landscape.

I added a piece of DSP also cut diagonally then cut one of the bird images from another

sheet of DSP.

I love the Bird Ballad Suite, It is absolutely gorgeous. 

As you can see, the I Say Hello stamp set can be used really well with it too.

Stamp set, I Say Hello  - Day 3 

Today's card is another that I made 2 versions of.

Firstly, I used Whisper White and Poppy Parade card. I embosed the White mat using

Tufted embossing folder. It's very plain and simple but lovely.

I die cut the hearts on this one using the Stitched Be Mine Framelits.

Die cutting again onto some other colours too, I added the coloured card hearts onto

 Dimensionals to make them stand out more. 

I like the way the hearts stand out too.

 

 

This second version I used the White Hearts that I took out of the first card. Again using Dimensional, I  placed them onto a Bermuda Bay card base.

A simple Hello There onto a White mat and the row of hearts all stamped 

using the Bermuda Bay Ink pad.

 2 more cards easily made using the little Heart.

I love the idea of making simply pretty and effective cards.
