Bubble Wrap Technique Class

This week we had the great pleasure of another great class with our lovely ladies in Burgess Hill.
We challenged them to the Bubble wrap technique.
Their results were brilliant!

Materials needed: Bubble Wrap cut into slightly larger pieces than C6. Sassy Salutations, Age Awareness, Petite Petals and Traveller Stamp sets. Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pool Party, Real Red, Smoky Slate cardstock. Pool Party and Smoky Slate embossing powder. Heat Gun. Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Versamark and Memento Ink Pads. Real Red Woven Satin, Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta and Silver Satin Ribbons. Vintage Facetted Buttons. Petite Petals Punch.
All products supplied by Stampin' Up!

Technique:
Card fronts are all C6 size (ie. 10.5cm by 14.85cm).

Congratulations card and Happy Birthday card.
Stamp the bubbles of the bubble wrap really well with Versamark. Lay the bubble wrap straight onto the card front and gently smooth a clear mount block over the reverse of bubble wrap. Sprinkle the embossing powder covering the whole area. Shake the excess off and heat set with the gun. Cut down the card front to the size required, add a piece of white cardstock for the remainder of the card front add a piece of ribbon to cover the join and decorate using the petite petals. Add a message of your choice and Hey Presto!

Train card
Fold a piece of bubble wrap in half length-ways and ink up the whole strip using the Smoky Slate Ink pad. Lay the bubble wrap on the card and once again smooth over the reverse using a clear mount block. Stamp the image over the top, cut down to fit onto a Night of Navy mat, add ribbon, buttons and a message. I made mine into an easel card.

This card was made using the left over pieces that had been embossed. Starting with 7/8" scallop circle punch first, then 1 1/4". 1 3/4" and 2 3/8" punches cut out all the different sizes and layer up.
Proving that left overs are very, very useful!

Here are the cards the lovely ladies made. Aren't they good?
