Traditional Labels Traditional Christmas cards

Big question today... red or green? When it comes to traditional Christmas colours I think red and white but this year I've seen loads of lovely green and white and now I just can't decide! So with that conundrum in my mind I created 2 cards identical except for the colour and I'm asking what you think 🤔!  I took the Traditional Labels stamps and some paper scraps and die cut some foliage using the Christmas Greenery dies and kept the design very monochromatic.

The Traditional Labels stamps offer a great selection of sentiments perfect for the festive season for cards, memory keeping and tags.

And the Christmas Greenery dies are perfect for all kinds of projects.

So for the first card I went a shade of green called old olive. Once I had all the green pieces cut and ready to go I used my ink and a blending brush to add colour and depth around all the cut edges. This tone on tone technique is such an easy way to add impact to any project especially when using a monochromatic colour palette.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and  used a white mat to make the projects have a fresh feel to them.

I repeated the process with the red version of the design. The paper scraps are from the beautiful Traditions of Christmas papers.

The sparkle of the traditional sparkling sequins combined with the white neutral matte dots add just the right finishing touches ✨️
So what do you think 🤔 team red? Or team green? I still can't decide 😝
