Begonia Belle slider birthday card

 A quick post today as my grandson is visiting 😀 lots of fun .... but boy is he hard to keep up with  all the chat and running around 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway enough about that what's today's inspiration I hear you ask.  Well today's card is another kinetic one.  This time it is a slider card that pulls out to reveal hidden panels. Decorating is done using the July Product of the Month from Stampin' Up!. Called Begonia Belle it's a beautiful 2 step stamping set with lovely sentiments. 

I chose to use a bright and cheerful colour palette of yellows,  pinks and greens.

The card slides out when pulled from the right to reveal not 1...

Not 2...

But 3 hidden panels!

The technique used to add colour to the stamped images uses Sponge daubers. Use them to apply different colours of inks to the stamp before stamping.  This and the technique of using a mask to make the leaves appear behind the flowers make for the beautiful stamped images on this project. 

The mechanism of the card is far easier than you'd expect. It all starts with these pieces of cardstock..

4 pieces each measuring 10cm x 21cm scored at 10cm and 20cm. ( 4" x 8⅜" scored at 4" and 8")

3 piece each measuring 2.5cm x 29.7cm ( 1" x 11")

1 piece measuring 14.85cm x 21cm ( 5½" x 8½")

The panels for the decoration are..

3 each 9.5cm x 6.5cm (3¾" x 2½")

1 at 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3¾" x 3¾")

2 strips of pattern paper each 3cm x 10cm (1⅛" x 4")

1 panel for the inside of the card measuring 14.4cm x 10cm ( 4" x 5¼")
