Weekly Inspiration - Day 2

Shades of Purples.

Today, I went punch drunk!

I started punching circles out in different sizes and colours and couldn't stop!

This card is for a young man who since Christmas has been growing a beard. 

That was my first thought when I started playing with the circles. It looks like a beard!

Well, I think so.

I've just noticed that my card has a mark on it! Chocolate! It fortunately has rubbed off! Phew!!

Using all of the punches from 1/2" up to 1 and a half inches I added all of them either with sticky dots or Mini Dimensionals.

The Wisteria Wonder mat was first embossed with a NEW embossing folder called Scattered Sequins.

They actually do look like sequins too!

Gavin plays a guitar and I thought this was appropriate.

The stamps were from Epic Celebrations another NEW stamp set.

Weekly Inspiration

 Shades of ....

 Hello and Happy New Year to you all. 

This week I'm supposed to show some projects based around one colour

 but I decided to use shades of different colours.

Purples

Stampin' Up! have the most beautiful range of different colours and this week

I am showing you what I have made using Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder

 and of course Whisper White.

I have used the lovely stamp set Love You Still for this card. I LOVE the way that all
of the images are there to stamp directly onto the card.

No colouring in unless you want to of course.
The message on the front is perfect. I love it.

As you can see I made a mistake on the front of this and added another message
over the top to add another dimension!

 

Just a simple thank you to finish off the card.

Valentine's...

Valentine's seems to be such a long way off I know but when I saw the Hedgehugs stamp set I knew it would make a lovely Valentine's that wasn't to slushy or pink!! I hope you like it as much as I do 😊

1, 2, 3....

Today I played with single colours. It always amazes me quite how much you can do with a single ink pad tone on tone, colouring in...and today's inspiration generational stamping! To do this simple yet effective technique all you need is one ink pad and a stamp. Ink the stamp as usual and stamp your image then rather than 're inking the stamp huff on it .The moisture from your breathe will reactivate the remaining ink and will give the second impression a lighter version of the colour..simple yet effective  I think!
Today's sample I've used first, second and third generation impressions to create an ombre effect but it can also be used to create a feeling of depth.
I hope you'll have a try as this is a simple yet fun technique to play with.

It's started....

Well today's the day!!! It's the start of the new catalogue and sale-a-bration!!! So today I can show you the stamp set I've been sneak peeking you 😄 and today's card is made using the stamps from the set but also showing one of the new designer series papers also available in the new catalogue called Sweet soirée. It's beautiful full of colour and shiny silver foil accents!!!

What inspires your colour choices? Nature? Textiles? Pinterest?
For me it's all of the above plus...food! Well in today's card's case sweeties!! That's candy for those of you who live over the pond 😉
The colours I've used are lemon lime twist and early espresso.  The inspiration was the lovely chocolate limes..yummy 😊
Again I've used  sneak peek stamps they are just sooo cute 😃.

Well today's the start of a  fresh new year and  Gill and I would like to wish everyone lots of fun and laughter and crafting  for 2018🎉🎉🎉
For us the new year also heralds the release of a fresh new array of goodies from Stampin Up in their Spring summer catalogue  😄 it also means that Sale-a-bration is back !!! Which means free goodies !!! Both the catalogues go live on the 3rd of January but today's inspiration is a sneak peek at one of the fab new sets !!
