with Rooted In Nature

Hi. today's card was an inspiration from Natalie O'Shea, our friend and upline within Stampin' Up!

I have a picture to show you at the end of this post. 

Here is my card.

Using Whisper White card base and mat and a Rich Razzleberry mat, I stamped the leaves into the 4 corners of the white mat. I stamped another separateley and fussy cut it out with scissors.

The colours I used are ones that I don't usually use much and they were from left to right:

Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake.

On a scrap of paper, I stamped 5 of the larger leaf and cut them out with scissors.

The message was stamped in Rich Razzleberry and mounted onto a scrap of matching card.

I completed this one with another of the leaves in the corner and simple message to finish off.

Hello again. Today I am showing you two different versions of one card.

They are both very simple cards.

Firstly, the very straighforward one using no punches or anything extra.

I started with a standard C6 mat in Whisper White and gutted a piece from one side.

I sponged over a scrap of card slightly bigger than the aperture in the 1st piece of card. 

I used Pear Pizzazz and Balmy Blue Ink to sponge the card.

I used Rooted In Nature stamp set once again for this card. There are so many stamps in this set that

it is in 2 boxes!

I placed both pieces of card together so the sponged piece would show through the aperture.

Then using Mossy Meadow ink pad, I stamped a tree over both pieces.

I used dimensionals to raise the front mat and fixed the sponged mat using multipurpose glue.

I added a simple message to finish this one off.

2nd Card

I made the second card exactly the same but with the use of 2 punches for the message. 

These were the 1"circle  and 1 3/8" scalloped circle punches. 

I used the coordinationg Framelits to diecut the tree this time and placed

 it slightly off the lower image to create a shadow.

Hello again, today's card is another simple stamping card. 

This time.....

I have used Rooted In Nature stamp set. I stamped the 2 leaves in Mint Macaron ink over a sheet of 

Whisper White card stock.

I added the sheet to a piece of Basic Black card. Adding a tree in Mossy Meadow ink onto a 

small mat and Basic Black. I fixed this panel using the dimensionals.

A simple message onto White card to complete this.

 The inside of the card was another Basic Black and Whisper White mats.

I added a few of the leaves to finish this off.

This week I've had a challenge! I don't normally do simplestamping cards but I've really 

pushed myself to do it. So here goes.

Using Whisper White and Mint Macaron cardstock and ink I stamped the leaves over a piece of card

then cut off 3 little squares.

Then, using multipurpose glue, they were fixed to the card front.

I used the Rooted In Nature stamp set for the card.

It isn't the cheapest stamp set in the book but so very well

worth buying. I promise you.

A simple message on the front to finish off this first card for the week.

Gray Granite...

Happy Friday 😁 here in the UK it's the start of a bank holiday weekend..no work monday🎉🎉 more days to craft 😉
Today's sample has a calm , relaxing vibe to it. The gentle colours and soft impressions of the stamped images work well with the vellum to add that subtle impression. The background is a sneak peek from the new annual catalogue. Its created usung Gray  Granite and a background stamp called Birch. I love the effect it gives and it's going to be oh so useful!!

Gray Granite..

Spring has definitly sprung here in my part of the world. Lots of spring flowers and trees bursting into life and baby animals everywhere 😊 oh how I enjoy the new beginnings that spring offers! And this spring is especially special as my sister after 10 years of trying has fallen pregnant 😍 I can't wait to be an aunty again especially as she's  having a baby girl and the last 5 babies in our family have all been boys!!! So todays card is a welcom card for a baby girl. My sister is 15 years younger than me and has very different tastes to me so i took inspiration from her home decor for the card. She has a very neutral palette of soft greys with pops of strong muted colours. So my colour palette for todays card reflects that with Gray Granite,  Fresh Fig and Berry Burst. The hands are embossed in white on watercolour paper then colour is applied using lots of water and watered down ink. The sequins add just a little  sparkle that isn't really captured in the pictures. 

Gray Granite...

Gray Granite can be a soft gentle colour as today's sample shows. Pairing it up with the subtle powder pink and a pop of the stronger lovely lipstick pink makes for a calm yet bold look. The background is using the Buffalo check stamp in gray Granite then using marker pens in powder pink and lovely lipstick to add extra lines to create a gorgeous check background.  This reminds me of soft warm snuggly blankets and cosy country cottages 😊
