Cake Soiree - Day 3

For today's card, I have used Berry Burst and Whisper White cardstock and Ink pad.
I first stamped over the White mat with the 2 flower stamps to make the background.
I used Powder Pink Ink Pad for the background.

Using the flower die from the Sweet Cake framelits which coordinate with the stamps,
I die cut some in white and some in Berry Burst then swapped the inside pieces over to give
them a mix and match effect.

Very thin strips of cardstock to make the flowers into balloons and attached to
the back of the suitcase.

Weekly Inspiration - Cake Soiree

Cake Soiree

This week I am showing some cards made with the Cake Soiree stamp set
from the NEW Stampin' Up!Seasonal Spring/Summer Catalogue.

I call this a Peekaboo card. I don't know the proper name but this is what my granddaughter
called it!
I recently made this card using the Layering Ovals dies for a class and again as my swap at our team training.
Cary had made another from my card using the Lots of Labels dies as I've used here.
Much easier than it looks, I made 23 the day before training.

I used the Sweet Cake Framelits Dies which coordinate with the stamps.
They have some lovely leaf shapes which I used to embellish the front of my card.

I used Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Ink and Cardstock.
The coordinating Designer Series Paper Stack, was used for the 2 mats.

Here is the original card that I made for the class.
This one I used Pool Party and Whisper White Cardstock and Ink pad.

I used the Lovely Wishes stamp set for the messages on this one.

A little light.....

Today I've  got a sample that rather reminds me of summer nights in a gentle quite garden. I have used the envelope punch board to create a paper lantern that I filled with fairy lights.  The cut outs allow the light to spill out quite nicely.
The inspiration for my lantern came from the cracker box that I made first.
Well that's it for this week . Next week Gill will be sharing her inspiration for us all enjoy.
Have a good weekend
Have fun Cary 😊

Bags of love.

With Valentine's coming up I thought I'd use my envelope punch board to create a bag for a small gift....then I got a bit carried away and made 3 in different sizes from teeny tiny to generous.
The bags are made from squares of paper measuring 12" by 12" paper for the largest bag, 8"× 8" for the medium and 6" x 6" for the teeny tiny one 😊
The bows on the 2 largest bags were also made using the envelope punch board!.
The papers I've used are called Painted with Love from the Stampin' Up! Spring summer catalogue  and is even more stunning  real life. The colours are vibrant and the splashes of gold foiling are stunning 😊

Quick idea....

Today's sample is a quick and easy gift card holder made using the envelope punch board. The pocket is called a library pocket and the inside is a file card. I made the little tab to hold the card using a circle punch.

Pretty outsiders....

Now if you follow our posts you'll  know that we believe that it's wrong to leave the inside of a card unadorned...No naked inners here 😉 lol.
But what about the envelope??? Well if you have an envelope punch board  you have no reason to leave one naked!! So this week I thought I'd show you that an envelope punch board isn't just for envelopes 😊
But today's inspiration does use the board for what it does so well.... make envelopes 😊!!!
One is made from pattern paper and the other is from card stock and decorated with an envelope liner also made using the punch board. The pattern paper one is a dimensional envelope useful for those cards that are 3d or have lots of embellishment on them.

Bare bones....

Today's card is what I call a bare bones card. It's a pared down version of the sketch. I've done away with the largest mat and the embellishment.  I've also only used stamping to add interest to each of the rectangles. You don't have to use all the parts of a sketch it's only there to inspire you after all 😉

Putting a circle in a square..

Today's take on the sketch shows how I've changed the shapes altogether.  The rectangular card base has been swapped for a square one. The rectangular panels have been replaced by circles and the embellishment has become the sentiment and moved orientation!!  All in all quite a lot of change but it still has the feel of the original sketch...well I think so 😊
