Peek-a-boo... 2 little cheeky owls peeking out ! I think this is such a fun #simplestamping card all you need is a single punch to create the circles. I chose to use a second punch for the sentiment, which is such a hoot 😉, but could have been stamped directly onto the card. The clean white base highlights the lovely blue and green of the fun owls.

#simplestamping
Welcome to this weeks inspiration. This week is all about #simplestamping. I have kept it very simple this week using only one stamp set, watercolour pencils and a memento black ink pad!!. I got the idea from the new Experience Creativity brochure from Stampin Up. The stamps are called Hoot Hoot Hooray. They are open line art images is sweet phrases so are ideal for colouring in.
For today's card I used a post it note to mask of part of the card , then stamped the stars stamp across. I then moved the post it note and repeated the process. The sentiment is then stamped repeatedly on to a strip of cad that I layed in between the stars. I love colour so I colouref my stars in rainbow colours just for fun 😊

Colour Melon Mambo - Day 5
For the last card from me this week, I have used Everything Amazing stamp set.
This stamp set was the one that we chose for our recent all day, Charity event.
Our ladies made approximately 180 cards in total for Safe in Sussex.
A special charity to help keep people safe away from home.
Using Whisper White and Melon Mambo card, I embossed the white mat using the new gorgeous Mosaic 3D embossing Folder. Doesn't it give a beautiful effect?
I stamped the Amazing image using Melon Mambo ink and then used Mango Melody for the
additional words.

I had some die cuts left over from another project so added the rope strips from Smooth Sailing.
I completed the card using some words from the stamp set Well Said and
added some hearts from the Everything Amazing set to finish.
There are 51 stamps in the whole set, so many that it comes in 2 boxes!

Thank you for joining me this week. Cary will be back with some amazing projects I'm sure next week.

Colour - Melon Mambo Day 4
The card today is made using one of the beautiful Host stamp sets which can be
earned by holding a workshop, class or by placing a virtual "Stampin' party".
This stamp set is called New Wonders.
For more information, please click HERE
Using Whisper White and Melon Mambo card, I stamped the small leaves r5andomly over the card base. Then, using one of the gorgeous images, stamped the little girl onto a scrap of card.
I didn't want any other colour on this one as I love the simplicity of monochromatic images.
I mounted the little girl image onto a piece of Melon Mambo card and used Dimensionals to
fix to the card. I did the same for the Congratulations on the front and then stamped
Happy Birthday and the leaves again inside to complete it.

Colour - Melon Mambo Day 3
Hello. Don't you want to see how many different types of ways that you can use a stamp set?
I know that I do,
I have used the Celebrate With Cake set again today only this time I added some
Designer Series Paper to go with it.
For more information on the stamp set, please click HERE
The DSP was the Brights range of papers. They all have lovely designs and of course they are double sided so you get extra choice! All I did was cut along the lines of the pattern a few time and then using Tombow multi purpose glue, fixed them in place.
I then stamped and fussy cut the cake and flowers before fixing them using Dimensionals.
The mat that these were all fixed to was placed onto the Melon Mambo ink pad on all 4 sides to define the mat from the card.
I finished with a simple message, balloon and birds to complete it.

Colour - Melon Mambo Day 2
Hello, today's card is an easy one filled with lots of love.
Using the Celebrate With Cake stamp set, I stamped the post box with
Granny Apple Green ink,
The hearts were stamped onto the card mat and then several onto a scrap of white card before I fussy cut some out to add some extra dimension.

Adding a message inside and out, completed this very easy card.

Colour week
Welcome to our blog. This week Ive been tasked with choosing a colour to make projects with.
How do you choose when there are so many gorgeous colours in the Stampin' Up! collections?
Well... I chose (with the help of Bella, my grand daughter) Melon Mambo.
This gorgeous, rich, sumptuous pink is very easy to work with.
This first card is one that I made last week to demonstrate using the Stamparatus.
Using Whisper White and Melon Mambo card. I stamped the cakes and stands onto the card
and punched them out using the coordination punch.
I had previously die cut a frame using the Stitched Rectangles Dies, so added some foam strips
then the cakes. I used the Piece of Cake stamp set.
The cakes were coloured in using the Watercolour pencils and an aqua marker.
I completed the card with a simple message and a few lollies.

Sailing Home...
So for my final post this week I thought I'd share a project that I made for our display at the event yesterday. Displaying samples for me means not just having a random selection of cards but trying to create hight and interest by including "props". Now I am a papercrafter so if at all possible I make my props using card , ink and stamps! So after an afternoon playing with card I came up with my lighthouse. The roof comes of and an electric tealight can sit inside to give the right illusion 😉 I do hope you've enjoyed this weeks Sailing Home samples and will join us next week when Gill will be showing us some of her gorgeous samples.
Have fun

Sailing home...
Are you one of those crafters who has to have it all? Do you find that you simply can't resist? Well welcome to the club...the #avidcrafter club!!! 😁 Both Gill and I are fully paid up active members of this club and we love it!!! 🤣🤣🤣
So for today's sample I created a card for those who have to have the coordinating dies to the stamp set. But I think that the card is still quite a clean and elegant one. I've continued with the colour palette from Monday and Tuesday's samples of vanilla, greys and soft blues. The die cut background is vanilla on vanilla and has a soft , textured appearance which I love.

Sailing Home...
Today's sample is a bit of a #casualstamping card. It's still stamps, ink and cardstock but I've added a little fussy cutting and layering. The colour palette I've chosen is a rather gentle one, very vanilla, early espresso, smoky slate and balmy blue.

Sailing home...
Hello from a rather dull but humid day here in our little corner of the UK. Oh how lovely it would be to be beside the seaside .....but with the wonder that is crafting I can pretend ...thanks to all who voted for the Sailing Home stamp set last week!!! ⛵⛵⛵
So this week I will be sharing cards featuring this lovely set and coordinating dies.

So for today's very #simplestamping I used just the stamps and ink. I have to say I'm rather pleased with the effort. I owe the inspiration for the design to Martin at Martin'sMayhem 😊.

Punches - Day 5
Hello, this is my last card for you for a few weeks now and I've made a
faux floating card.
I used the Leaf Punch, 1, 1/2" Circle Punch, Mosaic Mood DSP,
and Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.
I started with a mat of Window Sheet and a piece of of the Designer Series Paper. I punched about 30 leaves out and stuck each one across the sheet, overlapping where necessary.
Once the whole sheet was covered, I punched out of the Window sheet and
leaves, 6 holes using the circle punch. I reversed 3 and fixed them
using 2 rows of dimensionals.
Then added some little messages into the
apertures.
Once the front was done, I stood the edges of a mat in Garden Green Ink, added a message and 2 of the remaining circles to the corners to complete.
Thank you for joining me this week.
I hope you've found some inspiration to make some lovely cards yourselves.
Cary will be back mext week with some of her amazing designs.
Gill XXX :)
