Tuscan Vineyard Day 5

I started playing with the little pieces and made a border from them.
The card base is Sweet Sugarplum.

Once again, I coloured in the scene using Watercolour Pencils from, Stampin' Up!
The soil was coloured with 3 different colours to give the slight variation in the soil.

I used Early Espresso Ink Pad for the corks and bottles, the watercoloured them with the
Early Espresso Pencil very lightly.

I used Clear Wink of Stella around the outside of the plum oval and circle to highlight it.

That's it from me for this week, I will be back with something different next week.
I hope you will pop by and see what I get up to.

Tuscan Vineyard - Day 4

and another SNEAK PEEK
Today's project I wanted to cut it up and piece it back together again.
Sadly not as perfect as I would like it to be.

I didn't colour in the image but covered it with Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder.
Then heat set it and cut it up.

Once cut up, I mounted the pieces onto Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
Then piecing it back together onto a die cut Oval using a piece of
DSP from the Succulents, Designer Series Paper.

The white patterned paper mat is also from the Succulents DSP

A piece of ribbon from the coordinating ribbon bundle and some amazing messages to finish it off.

Tuscan Vineyard - Day 3

I thought of the connection that wine goes so beautifully with cheese, so decided to have a
'Cheesy' style background.

I cut a mat of Sahara Sand cardstock and using several different sized punches,
punched randomly through it.

To add texture, I embossed the card base using the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I raised the mat onto Dimensionals and added the messages using Sweet Stack stamp set.

I think it works even though I don't think you can get cheese in this colour!

Tuscan Vineyard - Day 2 and a SNEAK PEAK!

I got carried away with the project today when I made a One Sheet Wonder
using the leaves from the set. I used only half an A4 sheet to make the prints
and these are the 3 cards from that.
I used Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry cardstock and ink pad.

The first card I cut out each rectangle and then layered them onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock. They were then each mounted using Dimensionals. Of course I had to add a little bling with Rhinestones.

The second one was a strip from the left over sheet mounted on a debossed card using the Cable Knit Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The shape is perfect for Stampin' Up! Dimensionals. A small strip of ribbon from the Sending Love combo pack tied with a simple knot.

The remaining strip of prints were used for this last one. Just a simple piece cut into equal width strips and mounted onto card. All of the messages are from the Falling For You stamp set.

As always, I like to show simple projects that are easy for anyone to do.

Weekly Inspiration

Hello again.
This week I am playing with a stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Tuscan Vineyard.
I chose this set as it is one that I fell in love with the moment I saw it but I haven't found the
inspiration to know what to do!
So I'm challenging myself as I have seen so many beautiful samples made with the set!
I hope you like them?

Using Watercolour Paper, I stamped the Vineyard image with Basic Gray Archival Ink pad then watercoloured it in.

I have used Very Vanilla and Pear Pizazz cardstock.
The messages are from Falling For You stamp set.

One step on...

Following on from yesterday's inspiration using the fine tip glue pen for a free hand resist technique I'm much more in my comfort zone today using the pen to draw over a stamped image.
I Stamped the image randomly over the card then used the fine tip to trace over the lines that I  wanted to remain the colour I had stamped in. Then after allowing the glue to dry I again used my sponges and inks to colour the card going over the glued areas.
The areas covered in glue resist the ink and remain the colour they were stamped in. on the pink and green card this is obvious but on the blue card I used a very light blue to stamp then used darker shades to colour over. This gives 2 different look for one technique !!
well I hope you've enjoyed this weeks inspiration and if you'd like to buy a fine tip glue pen please click the link on the right hand side for our shop.
have a great weekend and please join us next week when Gill will be sharing her inspiration for us all to see.
have fun
Cary xx

Free hand ....

Now I love rubber stampin partly because I can't draw for toffee! So to make something and share it that has my own freehand drawing on it is a bit scary! So here goes.....
Todays samples show how you can use the fine tip glue pen to create resist backgrounds. Using the pen "draw" your pattern on card and leave to dry. The easiest in my opinion is spots placed randomly you can go wrong!. I then got a bit more adventurous and had a go at swirls then I got really carried away and had a go at a repetitive doodle that I have used when zentangeling.
When the glue was dry I used sponges and rubbed ink over the images and they started to pop of the page! I had great fun and messy fingers ...so I was happy!
The cards I created using the 3 background pieces are very simple but do show of the backgrounds well in my opinion.
I hope you like these and will have a go yourself .

Another day ..another birthday...

Today I'm sharing another card using the fine tip glue pen on another family members birthday card!! This time its my nieces birthday she turned 13 and is now officially a teenager!!
This time I used the fine tip glue pen to act as a glaze. The needle tip of the pen means that you can apply a fine outline then infill the area with the glue which then dries clear with a lovely sheen. Sadly my photographs don't show the glazed areas very well. In real life they look fab.

A fine tip....

For the rest of this week I am going to share some inspiration that all have one thing in common....Stampin' Up!'s Fine Tip Glue Pen.
This versatile little beauty is great for applying small delicate embellishments such as sequins. It is easy to apply and dries clear.
Not only can you use it for sequins but also for adding glitter in  specific places.
Today's sample shows both these features. I hope you'll join us in the next few days to see other ways to use this product.
