Blow Out The Candles - Day 4

Today's card is a #simplestampin card.
Unusual for me to make so straight forward a card especially as it took me as long to
design this as my other makes do!

I started this one with just a large Whisper White circle and a scalloped mat in Gorgeous Grape cardstock beneath it.

I sponged lightly across the white circle in Granny Apple Green and also the centre of the white mat. Then I stamped the Happy Birthday message and the Balloons onto a scrap of card.  I fussy cut them out and added them to the front of the card.

On the inside, I stamped a few of the balloons along the edge for a little detail.
Then that's it.
Tomorrow I will be stepping up this one with a little more .....???
Please stop by and see what I did to up my game on it!

Blow Out The Candles - Day 3

Today's card is to welcome a new baby.

This card I coordinated with a lovely stamp set called A Little Wild.

It not only shows the front of each animal or cuddly, it has the back of them too.

I used the Balloons from Blow Out The Candles to make the background.
I coloured some White Sheer Ribbon using the ink pads in So Saffron, Calypso Coral  and Smoky Slate.

I used Whisper White and Smoky Slate cardstock and the message was cut using the Pretty Label Punch.

Blow Out The Candles - Day 2

Hello.
Today's card is another fairly straight forward one with a stamped mat and cake.

I stamped the 2 candles side by side using Memento then stamped them again just moving them
along by 1 candle and added colour using Grapefruit Grove Ink pad.

I added the cake onto the smaller mat using dimensionals and adhered both of the mats onto Black Foiled card. It gives a lovely shine around the edges.

I added a piece of Black 1/8" cord and tied it by making a 'tie' knot.

I finished off with a simple Memento message on the inside and added a balloon to
match the colours.

Weekly Inspiration - Stamp Set

Hello, this week I will be showing you some samples of cards that I've made using
the Blow Out The Candles stamp set.
This stamp set is a 2 step set which enables you to stamp the outer image and then the inside.

Using a very simple layout, I had a piece of Whisper White card that I had embossed earlier
so I felt it had to be used, It was embossed with the lovely Swirls and Curls Folder. It gives quite a deep impression so I pushed it back a little using a bone folder just to soften it.

I coordinated it with the lovely Granny Apple Green cardstock and Ink for the inside images of the
balloons and cake. The white balloons are washed over with the Clear Wink of Stella. It gives a little shiny sparkle. Sadly, my camera doesn't show it.

All of the images and the outer text is using Memento Ink Pad. I also edged the banner on the front and the inside white mat with the Memento too.

I finished off with a little cake and Happy Birthday inside.
My grandsons favourite colours at the moment, so this will be for
his 10th birthday card for this coming Friday.

So as the message says, Eat Cake and Enjoy Your Day

It comes as a Bundle with Framelits too. Please click HERE to have a look.

#aquapainters #watercolourwash #colouring

#aquapainters are great for colouring in. You can achieve great, delicate details but for the beginners,  or people like me who are a bit more heavy handed 😉, beautiful results can be achieved with no difficulty at all.
For today's card I first heat embossed the simple outline flower and leaf image randomly across the card. I used white embossing powder but any colour would work. I then used 3 colours applied with the aquapainter . I then took a piece of paper towel and gently buffed the excess colour of the embossed edges . This ensures that the embossed part doesn't get stained by the ink in the watercolour wash.
A simple die cut sentiment and vellum circle, a small piece of ribbon and the card came together with ease.

#aquapainters #simpletechnique #simplestamping

When you want a quick card why not try a #simplestamping card and why not add a #simpletechnique 😁 all made easy with #aquapainters!!!... I think I've gone # crazy!!! Lol But seriously the card today is super quick and simple. The background is created with a very simple watercolour wash using 3 toning inks to create the ombre effect. Then just stamp the sentiment as the focal point and voila already for a mat and popping onto a card base. The rhinestones have been coloured to match the work by colouring them with Stampin Blends which are alcohol markers so colour onto all sorts of surfaces.

#aquapainters

#aquapainters...they are so useful!!! Not only can you colour in with them you can make many simple backgrounds. Today's card has a striped background created with the aquapainter . Just be bold and go for it is my advice....

#aquapainters #wastercolourwash

This week I'll be sharing some of the samples I've made using simple watercolour wash techniques using an aquapainter and Stampin Up classic ink pads.
Today's card features a die cut word. I left the cut out piece in the cardstock and applied a water colour wash starting darkest at the bottom and letting it fade out towards the top giving a rather nice ombre effect.

#simplestamping

For the last card of the week I decided to add a little something to my #simplestamping card... a punched  out shape! Punches are ideal for those just starting their crafting journey.  They're not to expensive, take up little space and can be used in multiple ways. The stamps I used are the Florentine Filigree photopolymer set from the spring summer catalogue from Stamp Up. As they are photopolymer the enable the crafter to create repeat patterns with no effort or tools other than a block to hold the stamp.
Well that's it for this week's inspiration.  I do hope you've enjoyed seeing my ##simplestampin cards and have maybe inspired you to have a go.
Next week I'll be sharing more cards
And I hope you'll pop on by and take a peek and maybe leave a comment or 2 😊
Have a great weekend
Have fun

#simplestamping

The essence of #simplestamping is ink, paper and stamps. Today's sample shows that a single ink colour can achieve a variety of effects when stamped on coloured card and pattern paper. I chose to  stamp on the coloured card base and the wood textures pattern paper. I like the way the ink gives a depth to the card base and almost seems to  highlight the wood effect.
I hope you give this #simplestamping a go it's good to go back to basics if you've been stamping a while. It also shows that complete beginners can achieve beautiful creations from their very first card 😊

#simplestamping

Wow didn't you just love the beautiful colours Gill used in her fabulous creations last week?? I just loved the bold,  bright gorgeous Granny Apple Green 💚💚💚
I love it so much I used it for today's #simplestamping sample!!!
The check piece is made by stamping the buffalo check stamp in granny apple green on whisper white.
The punched circle piece is made using the happy birthday sentiment from the Amazing Life stamp set. To create different shades I used a technique called generational stamping.  This is very easy it's just ink the stamp, stamp then huff on the stamp and stamp again..tada a second colour!!! Do it again and you have a 3rd colour!!!! So much from one colour ink.
