Watercolour Wednesday Attention Shoppers

Watercolour does have to mean lots of artistic talent or time. It can be as simple as a wash of colour which is what today's card has! Using the Attention Shoppers stamps and a splash of colour creates a fun card perfect for all those shoppers in your life 😉

After the wash had dried, it doesn't take very long, splatter some of the ink over the panel to add another effect .

The colour combination is my daughters favourite blues and yellow.  The pop of yellow with the various shades of blue give a bright and fresh feel to the card.

A scatter of matt dots and the card is complete 😀 providing that watercolour doesn't have to take neither time nor talent 🤣

Tips tricks and techniques Tuesday Attention Shoppers

Do you like to colour in? Or are you a not my favourite kind of crafter? Well if you fall in to the latter category or just don't have time to I have a great technique for you today!  The Attention shoppers stamp set is great for those who love to colour in with it's line art images... but  how to use it if you don't like to colour in?

All you need for this fun quick and easy colouring technique are ink pads and blending brushes or sponges or daubers. Stamp your images then gently blend colour all over the area. It's good if it goes out side the lines! A tip here is to use the brush before you add additional ink to it as you want a softer look with this technique.

After stamping and "colouring" run the panel through your cur and emboss machine with an embossing folder.

The sentiment is stamped onto a plain strip of white cardstock. This strip of flat white works well against the texture and colour of the panel below it and links to the flat white card base.

A fun and easy birthday card for sure!

Make it simple Monday Attention Shoppers

Happy Monday everyone 😀 and welcome to the start of my week to share inspiration with you. This week I'll be sharing projects created using a stamp set called Attention Shoppers.  This fun line art stamp set is great for those who love to colouring in but as I hope to show this week there's a lot more to it!

As ever Monday's inspiration is #simplestamping.  Today there are 2 samples...I  couldn't decided which to use so used both 😅.  The cards are made single layer using just black ink and coloured with pencils.

The set not only has great images but also fab sentiments which make it a good all round set. So my first sample is a birthday card.

For my second card you might notice that the sentiment isn't in the set 🤔 Well it is it's made from 2 of the sentiments!  All you need do is mask off the parts you don't need whilst applying the ink. Then remove the mask, the mask can be a sticky note , a piece of washi tape or even sellotape!, and stamp.

That's all for today but please pop back tomorrow for more Attention Shoppers inspiration 😀

Fun Fold Friday - Poised Peony

For my last day this week, I have made my one of my favourite types of card, a fun fold. I do get great pleasure in making fun folds as they are generally different from just a piece of card folded in half. Saying that though, any hand made simple card fold is generally really beautiful and I've seen many a gorgeous card made by some really talented people. Very clever people! Anyway I have had fun playing with the Poised Peony stamp set this week and although it hasn't any coordinating dies ...it's not been a problem. One of the reasons that I love peonies if that my mum used to have a huge Peony plant just beside her front door. It was a deep red, sort of Cherry Cobbler meets the retired Rich Razzleberry colour. Gorgeous!

Anyway, I made 2 cards for today, one landscape and I have tried one portrait! I believe it's called a centre, stepper fold card. I started making the Petunia Pop card first and really enjoyed the process so as I had a piece of the Peach Pie card also on my desk, I made another but this time a protrait one.

I used the new In Colour DSP on the Petunia Pop card and the Full of Life DSP for the Peach Pie card.            2 amazing bundles of gorgeous, unctious designer series paper!

Both cards were finished in a similar way and I have really had fun playing this week. Cary will be back on Monday so please stop by to see what she has been making.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back in just over a week so until then, please take care, stay safe and as always....

KEEP ON CRAFTING

This or That Thursday - Poised Peony

Hello and thank you again for stopping by. With the Poised Peony stamps today I have made a pair of simple Z fold cards.

THIS card has the papers from the 2024-2026 In Colour range of DSP and THAT card I have used the gorgeous Full of Life DSP. Both papers are stunning, bright and very cheerful. If you make a card with either paper, they are certain to make people smile.

2024–2026 IN COLOR™ 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

THIS I have used the In Colour DSP in the new Summer Splash and the squares are in Peach Pie. I stamped the flower in Smoky Slate ink and coloured it in using the same colour Stampin' Blends pens.

2 cards, both similar but which is your favourite? This or That?
