Truly Inspiration Day 5

For my last project this week I decided to have fun.
I was just playing with the card and stamps and found this man!

The glasses and the bowtie are from the True Gentleman DSP.
The moustache is from one of the stamps in the Truly Tailored stamp set.
The eyes I drew free hand. The hat was made using the Cookie Cutter Punch.

I had great fun making this.
I used  Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Crushed Curry for the mat which was embossed
with the Simple Stripes embossing folder.

The Night of Navy corduroy ribbon and the buttons are also from the True Gentleman family.

Thank you for stopping by this week.
If you pop by tomorrow there will be pictures of the other projects I had made for the class.
Hopefully, if she manages to return from Spain, Cary will be showing some other brilliant projects.

Truly Tailored - Day 4

This card was easier than it looked. Using the Tailored Tag punch, I punched out 3 times on one side of the card base. Then marking with a pencil where the other side will go, punched out the other side too.

I continued with the Tranquil Tide cardstock and then some mats out of the True Gentleman
DSP in the same way as before.

The edges of the punch outs had to be trimmed a little to show more of the border on the mats.

I stamped the messages in Tranquil Tide too and then using the DSP, fussy cut out some bowties.

Adding the bowties and message on the inside to finish the card off.
Simples!

Truly Tailored - Day 3

Today's card is made using Crushed Curry card base. Not one of my go to colours but
I just love the way it matches so well with the Night of Navy and the Wood Textures
DSP and the navy ribbon.

A very simple straightforward card again but this time I cut a Very Vanilla mat
and then randomly chopped off the corners. I stuck a piece of the gorgeous
logs under the Vanilla card and then added the ribbon to add some vibrancy to it.

In Crushed Curry, I die cut some of the leaves from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies
which are also going to be in the NEW catalogue.

I couldn't stop playing so I added some of the images using the stamp set on the inside.
Please don't forget that if you have seen anything that you can't do without from the
current catalogue, you only have until the 31st May.

Truly Tailored - Day 2

Today's card is another that I made for the all day men's class.
I didn't think that I would be inspired with this stamp set but I have REALLY surprised myself!
The possibilities are absolutely endless! I could NOT stop making different cards.
I'm VERY impressed with it!

This has to be one of my favourite styles of card. I love the tiered effect and the possibilities
are always endless. Very Vanilla cardstock and the DSP is all I used on this one.
I have used the Wood Textures DSP, which I am glad to say will be in the
NEW catalogue on the 1st of June.

The stamped bow tie, shirt front and 'mountains' design are all included in the stamp set and make amazing patterns. I used some of the scraps of DSP left overs to add design to the card.

The opened card showing in all it's glory.

Weekly Inspiration

Truly Tailored

This week I am going to show you some projects made with the Ytuly Tailored stamp set.
Unfortunately, this is one that is retiring at the end of May.
We recently held and all day class and this was the stamp set chosen for the day.

I have coordinated this with the matching punch and the gorgeous corduroy ribbon.

I've seen several of this stile of card in an envelope recently but have no idea who originally
made it. So my apologies for not knowing.
I used the Wood Textures DSP in different designs for each mat. The card base is Crumb Cake,
the mat is Very Vanilla and then the piece of DSP on the top.

The 3rd layer on the punched shapes is Copper foiled paper,
which blends really well with all of the colours.
The envelope is very simply cut and scored with the Envelope Punch Board and scored again 5mm inside the first score line. Then the card is stuck to the square in the middle.

Night of Navy ribbon coordinates with the inked shapes over the envelope.

A very straightforward card but the celebrate was the negative left over from another card.
Crafters always try to use everything don't we?

unexpectedly last week and she has flown to Spain.

Love what you do...

Do you love what you Do? I'm very fortunate that I not only love what I do but I get to share what I love too!! Gill and I run various classes and we get to share what we love that way as well as through the blog and Facebook   😁.  And now in its 30th year Stampin Up they have brought out a beautiful stamp set called guess what???? Share What You Love!!! 😃 so for today I decided I'd do as the stamps say and create a note card that says thank you to share both my stamps, my gratitude and what I love doing ..stamping and cards 💖
The card is a note card and uses the luscious new in-color Lovely Lipstick and the beautiful Love what you Do stamp set. Have a great Monday ☺

Layering Alphabet Edgelit Dies

Bella's card

It was my granddaughter Bella's 7th birthday at the end of April
and I made this card using the new amazing Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies.
OMG!!!
They are brilliant! They far exceed my expectations!

I cut strips of coloured cardstock about 10.5 cm or 4 inches wide the whole width of the A4 sheet.
I had worked out where the letters should sit on each piece and die cut them one at a time.

I do have the coordinating stamp set called Lined Alphabet but didn't use them.
I used the Bella and Friends stamp set of course for the puppies as it's
obviously her favourite!

The cardstock colours are mostly new colours but many originals were also used.
From right to left the colours are... Daffodil |Delight, Real Red, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo,
Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist and finally Pineapple Punch.
Aren't they beautiful colours?

Painted with Love...

For the last day of the week I'd like to share a card that shows my favourite paper from the spring summer catalogue called Painted love. This beautiful paper has gold embossed highlights and use stunning shades of pinks and corals all together making it just yummy 😊
The sketch inspired me to try and have a go at paper pleating. I rather liked the effect 😊
Well that's it for this week I hope you'll pop by next week to have a peek at the next lot of inspiration .
Have fun

Bundle of Love....

Today I've made what I call a cute card it uses the gorgeous Bundle of Love  speciality designer series paper that has beautiful gold foiling on one side and on the reverse the  same pattern in soft pink and soft blue . This paper is therefore not just for babies but also can be used for many other special cards. But for today's sketch I've teamed it up with the oh so very cute Moon Baby stamp set and oh my will I be sad to see this set retire!  The clouds are die cut using the Up and Away thinlit dies then gently sponges along the bottom edge in soft sky ink.  I hope you like my cute card as much as I do and it makes you smile as it does me ☺
