Fun Fold Friday

Have you ever wanted to make a card for that someone special and you wanted something different?  Well, hopefully, this could be it.
I took a sheet of A4 card and cut it long ways or portrait style, at 14.85cm or 5,7/8"
Then scored it at 10.5cm, 14.5, 18.5, 21.5, 24.5, 26.5 and 28.5cm. That leaves less than 2 cm to join another mat 10.5cm by 14.85cm to form the front of the card.
I reinforced all of the folds with a bone folder to crispen them and joined the 4cm pieces together, as well as the 3cm and 2cm pieces. They stand out nicely now and when the front is joined too
it forms a lovely effect when it's open.
I did a card similar to this many years ago but no longer have pictures of it let alone the card.
Once all folded together, I decorated with the gorgeous Flowering Foil Papers from Saleabration which ended at the end of March.
I saved the best to colour one of the larger flowers and fussy cut it for the front.
For the messages, I used the lovely stamp set called To A Wild Rose which I'm pleased to say is staying in the new catalogue.

You can see here from above when the 3 folded sections are together .

When the folds are all together, it creates an effect of a book spine. I added a piece of 1" wide Flax Ribbon to mine to cover it.
You may want to show it or even not glue the folds together then creating a very long card.
As we say in all of our classes, It's your card, do what you want with it.
The cards that we make are samples and we love to see what everyone else will create.
Especially if they put a different effect to it.

On the left, you can see the effect of the 3 folds which can be decorated in different papers
like I have and add different embellishments to decorate it.
Well, that's it from me this week. Cary will be back to show you her creations and hopefully
inspire you to be crafty.
Thank you for joining me this week.
Please take care, stay safe and keep well xxx :)
