Weekly Inspiration

Due to a technical error (otherwise known as a cock-up) this post didn't appear.

Today's card is one of the simplest cards I think I have ever made.
Daffodil Delight for the card base and a Whisper White mat which I have stamped the message from  Botanicals For You.
For this card, I heat embossed Just For You in Silver embossing powder then
using a sponge, I sponged Daffodil Delight from the ink pad over the messsage.
It is always advisable to rub over the embossed area to take off any excess colour.
A small strip of Silver Satin ribbon finishes off the card.

Botanicals For You is one of the FREE products you can chose from in the Salebration range each time you place an order of £45 with Stampin' Up!
This offer sadly ends on 31st March.
Please pop by tomorrow for some more projects.

Weekly Inspiration

Daffodil Delight and Botanicals For You.
This is the last card from me for this week. Rather more fiddly than the rest of this week's projects but I rather like this one.
Again a *C6 card base but this time it was cut across the wider part of the A4 cardstock
 and again folded in half.
In addition, I have used the Botanical Builder Framelets Die.
Using 2 mats (1 Basic Black and 1 Whisper White), I die-cut the flowers
and leaves then paper pieced them together as you see.
The larger flowers have a double cut in them which you allows you to seperate the petals.

*A C6 folded card base this way again measures 10.5 cm by 14.85 cm
but the unfolded measures 14.85 cm by  21 cm.
Thank you again for looking in. It is Cary's turn to show some projects next week
so you're in for a real treat as always.

Weekly Inspiration

Blackberrry Bliss

For this card, I have used the Blackberry Bliss as mats to make the other colours 'pop' out off the card.
I have heat embossed the large flower from Birthday Blooms stamp set onto Vellum, Stamped the same image onto White cardstock. Coloured in Daffodil Delight, Delightful Dijon, Pear Pizazz and Old Olive using Blender Pens. Spread Tombow glue all over the image and laid the vellum image over. Wait for it to dry before cutting the flower out.
The background was stamped with flowers from Flowering Fields in Pear Pizazz then embossed with Large Polka Dot TIEF
This is one of the FREE stamp sets you can choose when you spend £45 with Stampin' Up! during Saleabration from 1st January to 31st March

School Holiday Classes

Summer, School Holiday classes at the Craft Den.

19th August - No class this week as Cary was preparing
for her half century birthday party.
 Wow! It was good!

26th August - Superhero day
 Spiderman and Superman.
Fortunately, the children knew who they were depicting!

The next 2 cards were made using a stamp set not here in the UK
called Calling All Heroes which we managed to borrow.

Wednesday Class at The Craft Den

Wednesday 27th May

This week was half term so as we do every school holiday we made projects for the children.
Minions of course is flavour of the year.
We made cards, pencil pots, sweetie bags (curvy keepsake boxes) and page markers.
We were rushed off our feet as usual (well, Cary was! Gill was in her chair) and the children loved making them too. We did have great fun.
The added bonus... they got to take a packet of sweets home with them too!

If you've just arrived from the lovely Nicky's blog over at http://www.nickyjohncock.blogspot.co.uk/ then welcome and if you haven't be sure to pop over and see her inspiring project :)

Well here is my project.
The card is a fun 3d frame card made using whisper white card stock and a mat of melon mambo card stock to highlight the stamped and embossed image.

Made using the lovely Wildflower Meadow single stamp and co-ordinating texture embossing folder

The card also uses the scallop trim border punch

and the gorgeous bitty butterfly and elegant butterfly punches.

The colours used are melon mambo, daffodil delight and pear pizzaz. The colour combo was inspired by the paper in the background of the photo. This beautiful paper is from the gingham garden designer series paper.

well if you'd like to leave a comment it would be great but please do pop over to the next person in this great blog hop Natasha over at http://heartsyoucrafts.blogspot.co.uk/ and make sure you follow all the way through and see the wonderful inspiration that there is on offer.
