Fun Fold Friday - Autumn Greetings

Well, here we are again, another fun fold Friday to finish off my week of crafting inspiration for you using the lovely Autumn Greetings stamp set. I hope you've had as much fun as I have this week. Today's fun fold is another very simple one. I know that I keep on saying that but it really is. I have included a diagram at the end to show you. I have been making Autumn based cards all week and using the general earthy colours too. Until today!

I have gone really far away from the earthy colours to the beautiful fresh purple of Highland Heather.  I really love this gorgeous colour. It's a cross between a lilac and a proper purple and it makes a really lovely card base. I started with a piece of A4 card and cut portrait it at 14.85cm or 5,7/8" by the full long length of the card. In the U.K. that is 29.7 cm or 11,3/4". Then I turned it side ways or landscape into my trimmer and scored it at 4.9cm, 9.9cm or just over 1,7/8" and 3,7/8" from each end. I prefer to mark from each end so that the sides of the card are always identical to each other. I then folded the card base and using my bone folder, burnished the edges of each fold to make them nice and crisp. The card should be folded into a mountain fold, valley fold, valley fold and mountain fold. I then cut another mat 10cm by 14.85cm or 3,15/16" by 6, 15/16". Once all of the folds had been crispened up, I added the single panel to the front of the left hand side of the card. See the 6th picture down for the overhead view to see how it went together.

Now the mats. I didn't want to add too much colour to this card so I have used 2 pieces of the Plush Poinsettia Speciality vellum papers and inside, only white card. I generally cut my mats that go onto the card base half a cm smaller than the card it's going onto. So covering the single panel of card, the 10cm by 14.85cm piece, I cut a piece of vellum 9.5cm by 14.4cm. I also cut a piece of the vellum 4.5cm by 14.4cm which went onto the front right hand side fold of the card base, as shown in the photos.

Please see the link HERE to my shop for the stamp set and everything else in the shop.

I continued to decorate my card by once again stamping the main image from Autumn Greetings and coloured in the central part of it only. Yes, as usual I fussy cut it out then using the die set that coordinates with the stamp set, I die cut several of the leaves and glued them under the main image. I added some more of the die cuts to the inside panels as decorations or embellishments. You may have noticed that I don't often add rhinestones or bling to my cards and the reason is that depending on who I  send the card to is whether or not I add bling of any kind.

A simple message on the front and the inside to complete this card. Although, I did add a few more embellishments or die cuts from the set for decoration.

Here are the measurements and the layout for the card, I hope you can make sense of it ok!

I have really enjoyed myself making cards this week and I have surprised myself with what I can do with a set that I really had no idea what to do with it! I guess we can all live and learn something new every day if we put our minds to it. If you have any questions about the card, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for joining me this week, I hope you've found something to inspire your creativity and make something special for your friends, family or even yourself.

Please don't forget, if you live in U.K., France, Netherlands, Germany and Austria, you can shop with me Gill, or Cary by clicking on the link to our shop.

Cary will be back next Monday to show you some of her projects and see if you can be inspired to make something you may not have thought of. She is very good at that!😁😁😁
