Watercolour Wednesday Easter Bunny

Today's card is one made using the Easter Bunny stamps to make shockingly an Easter card !!! Yes I know it's  a bit early but hey it had to be done didn't it? 🤣

For today's card I wanted to create a striped watercolour background.  So I started with a piece of white cardstock and some strips of masking paper. I then added ink to some acrylic blocks and added drops of water. I then used my waterbrush to add the ink all over the cardstock.

My top tip for using the masking paper with watercolour washes is to make sure it's dry before you attempt to remove it!

I love the reveal when you remove the masking paper!
Next I used white embossing powder and heat embossed the egg stamp on the coloured stripes. It shows more in real life .

I loved the background so much I didn't want to detract from it too much so kept it simple with just a sentiment and a punched out bunny.

I love how the card turned out . Especially the bunny punched from pattern paper. So much so I just had to add one to the inaide of the card too!

The soft colours and the delicate embossing make for a card that is gentle but still quite bright because I chose a blue card base.
