Watercolour Wednesday Kiddin' Around

We are off to Rotterdam today to take part in a Stampin' Up!  Event called OnStage live! We're traveling by the Eurostar train dirrect to Rotterdam ! I'm super excited 😄 Stampin' Up! events are always great fun. Filled with great people, interesting presentations and demonstration as well as getting to see the upcoming annual catalogue and seeing andbusing new products 😀 whilst on the train I will be finishing my swaps for the event. Swaps are an integral part of such events. So of course I had to make mine using the cute Kiddin' Around stamps.

But I can't share the swap until I've given them out so for today's inspiration here is a simple watercolour card using the Kiddin' Around stamps.

To see how to create "sea" for  the boat to sail up check out this video. The video shares a variety of different ways to use waterbased marker pens. The technique uses markers, acrylic blocks and a water spritzer.

For the sea I used 3 shades of blue pens in bands across the block so that when it was spritzed with water it blended beautifully.

The cardboard box filled with it's intrepid sailor's was stamped and die cut out. Then coloured using alcohol markers.

Using a craft knife a slit was cut in the background panel. The boat was then tucked into the sea.
A mat of pale blue and a stamped sentiment and the card was finished.
