Yay it's Friday 😃 and here that means fun folds are the order of the day! The fold that I have chosen for today's card is one of the first fun folds I ever attempted when I first started making cards! Called a stand alone pop up card it is really rather easy. Made using the Everyday Details and a soft colour palette it turned out beautifully.
The card starts with a piece of cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 29.7cm that is scored at 2.5cm, 7cm and 9.5cm from each end. Then score the center at 14.85cm. You will also need a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 8.5cm in the same colour and 2 pieces of white cardstock measuring 14.4cm x 10cm.
Start by decorating the white panels, first marking lightly up 2.5cm . This ensures that your decorations are not hidden inside the fold. Make sure that you don't add dimension to the decorative panels as they will be folded up inside the card when closed. Once completed adhere the decorated panels to the colour panel.
Next take the card base and fold all the scorelines as mountain folds. Measure in along the 14.85cm scoreline 1cm from both ends. Now cut a slit along the scoreline between the 2 marks. This is where your decorated panel is going to slip through. Check that it slips through easily.
Now place the card base down flat horizontally and fold the first panel over and apply adhesive on to the uppermost area. Next slide the panel through the slot and carefully line it up onto the adhesive. Then fold the left hand first panel and apply adhesive in the same way then close over top of the other small panel sandwiching the decorated panel between them.
Now the card is closed for postage.
