Welcome back and thank you for stopping by. Today I really had fun with the water colouring and Festive and Fun stamp set. On Fluid 100 watercolour paper, I stamped the giraffe to one side of a whole piece of paper and then had loads of fun watercolouring it. I cut a C6 card base and added a piece of the beautiful fun Designer Series Paper (DSP) and added it to the card base. I cut off the giraffe and then cut a mat 8cm by 11cm. Using the softest pale greenish blue of Pool Party, I added some ink to a block and added some water on top from my water brush and proceeded to wash it across the mat. Once dry, I embossed it with the Christmas Words embossing folder. I fussy cut the giraffe out and using Dimensionals, (foam Pads) adde it to the card base and placed everything together.

Make It Simple Monday - Love Cats - #simplestamping
Hello and welcome back to the crazy 2 Big Girls Crafting! Yes, this week is absolutely crazy as we have our annual retreat this coming weekend and there is so much to do and such a little time to do it in too!! We will survive it, I know we will! However, this week I am starting off by using the cute Love Cats stamp set. Now those who know me know that I am a dog person, not cats but this stamp set is gorgeous to say the least.
A simple cat curled up on it's back having fallen head over heels!
So cute!

Technique Tuesday - Happiness Abounds
Today's technique so to speak is one where the card does the talking. I haven't stamped any words on the front of the card but I used the twin embossing folders, Let's Celebrate. Using the stamp set Happiness Abounds I stamped some of the smaller flowers in the gorgeous light purple of Highland Heather and some leaves in the bright green of Parakeet Party. The card itself is basically white on white except for the mat behind the embossed piece. I used one of the gorgeous, shaded backgrounds from the DSP pack of Hues of Happiness designer series papers. The papers are stunning! I love them!
In addition to the white embossed mat, I scored lines right across the card base, 3 times at the top and 3 at the bottom of the card. It gives a lovely pattern all over. I continued with the same colour theme on the inisde of the card and again used DSP for the mat behind the sentiments.

Make It Simple Monday - Christmas Lights
Hello and a big welcome back. It's great to have you visit again. OK. So Cary got straight back into making cards on our return from the amazing trip to Vienna. I can promise you that this will be my last week of Christmas cards as the next time we will be saying thank you to everyone and Happy New Year. Which I think is the apt thing to do. This week I am playing with the gorgeous Christmas Lights stamp set and the coordinating set of sentiments called Brightest Glow. These each come as a Bundle or altogether with papers, gems, dies and ribbon!
For today's simplestamping card, I have used a piece of soft blue card and stamped the tree on it in a rich green. All that I did from there was coloured across the whole tree and over the sides to make it look like shading. Simple blue on the tree and yellow across the star at the top. A few simple sentiments and the card is done. Very quick and very easy. What do you think?
