Make It Simple Monday #simplestamping - Christmas Friends

Hello and thank you for stopping by today. This week I am going to play with the NEW set called Christmas Friends. These cute little set are just as I would imagine them if they were to celebrate the Christmas time. 2 cards for the price of 1 today though. I started with a gorgeous soft minty green of Coastal Cabana which I love. I stamped direct to the card base on the one side after protecting it with a piece of Sticky roll and then got stamping. I added a strip of the even softer minty green  Pool Party ribbon. Love it  as it even has tiny little white pom poms on!

I then wondered what it would look like in White, so I tried that too. Now, I couldn't decide which I preferred so I asked the family. Would you believe that out of 6 of them it was half and half!

Make It Simple Monday - #simplestamping - Changing Leaves

Cary made some beautiful cards last week didn't she? It makes me wish that I lived nearer the sea! Cary's daughter and family live very close to the sea so they are always down in the water, Cary too! This week I am going to be playing with Changing Leaves stamp set. We held an all day class a few weeks ago using this set and making backgrounds. Cary is a whizz at backgrounds and unfortunately I don't do messy and Cary really loves things the messier the better! Shaving Foam, Bubble Wrap, marbles... you name it and she has played with them. 😂

My simple stamping card is just that though today. I stamped all 4 corners and then the tip of the stamp to fill in some of the gaps on the edges. A very simple but rather lovely card even though I say so myself.

Make It Simple Monday - Embraced With Love

Hello and thank you for joining me today. This week I am going to be making some cards using a stamp set from the new seasonal mini catalogue. Today's is Embraced With Love. This little estamp has sat in my drawer for a few weeks and now it's time to share some cards with it.

A very simple card as it's #simplestamping day today. I stamped the polar bear/bear and rabbit with Memento black ink and using my cheap colouring pencils, coloured it in. My idea of the animals is that they are a winter rabbit and a polar bear. You could call them what you like but that's my name for them. A simple colouring in with pencils and a little very light blue to 'ground' the image on the page a little better.

Make It Simple Monday - In My Heart

Well, Cary has once again surprised me by making a stamp set that I don't like, much more favourable! Another one that I now need to buy! This week I will be working with a lovely stamp set that I kept looking at in the catalogue but didn't buy until very recently. So I need to make an effort and see what I can make with it. The set is called In My Heart and is a set of 9 stamps that are really pretty. Please let me know what you think?

A simple image stamped in a light grey onto a white mat and then just using some ordinary colouring pencils to colour the image in. I even made a border with a green pencil to edge the mats!

Make It Simple Monday - Poised Peony

Hello and thank you for stopping by. This week I am going to use a new stamp set called Poised Peony. This very simple but lovely set was not seen would you believe! I can't believe I didn't see it or take any notice of it! Anyway, I have joined it with the paper pack called Frames and Flowers. This set has 3 sheets of 12" x 12" die cut papers and 3 lots of patterned paper. It's great.

Make It Simple Monday - Sketched Butterflies

Hello and thank you for joining me. It's been a chaotic week here for me and a busy weekend for Cary and I. I had my cataracts removed on Tuesday last week and I'm still getting my eyes straight. Cary and I went to a meeting a few hours from home on Saturday and returned only a short while ago. So I am haviing difficulty seeing things close up but distance is great! Cary very kindly made today's card to share with you to help me out and I am aiming to make tomorrow's one myself. My chosen stamp set this week is the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies so along with the dies, this is what I aim to show you this week.

The card that Cary made is gorgeous and simple. She has stamped several of the butterflies on the card base and coloured them in using the watercolour pencils. No water...just pencils. Aren't they beautiful?

Make It Simple Monday - Legendary Ride #simplestamping

Hello and thank you for stopping by today. This week I will be making some more cards using the Legendary Ride stamp set and dies too later in the week. I thought that as it's nearly Father's Day here in the UK it's an appropriate time to. My first card of the week is a very simple one of course. Using the smaller of the motorbike stamps, I stamped it all over a piece of white card to fit the front of the black card base. I'm a little surprised I chose black but black it is! After stamping the little ones, I took a larger white mat and stamped the large motorbike in Memento black ink which has come out really well thankfully. I trimmed the mat down to just larger than the bike itself and 'walked' the mat onto the ink pad. I made sure that all 4 edges were nicely black to give the impression that it's on a black mat too. A sentiment from the stamp set, I trimmed the front mat down and added the sentiment inside and out and this card was completed.

Make It Simple Monday - Crafting With You

Hello and thank you for joining me today. I loved the submarines or airships that Cary made last week, weren't they cute? Today, I am doing something completely different of course. I am working with the Crafting With You stamp set this week and today being #simplestamping is the perfect thing to use. Now I know that Cary used them some while ago but I think it's time I put my hands to it too.

My very simple card has 3 stamped images on the front and 2 on the inside. Sound simple enough? I hope so. I kept to Memento black for the sentiments and the yellow for the flowers and plumb colour for the easel and canvas. I did use an ink pen to go over the leaves. They looked a little silly in yellow!

Make It Simple Monday - Grassy Grove

Hello, this week I am going to show you some projects using the Grassy Grove Bundle. This gorgeous stamp set is perfect for a very simple card or even going to the opposite end and making a highly elaborate one. Don't panic...I don't think that I will go that far!

My #simplestamping card is with a green pencil and a white card base, I lightly coloured over white and then with a smaller piece of card and 1 ink pad in a beautiful green of Old Olive I stamped the 2 majestic  trees. A simple Thank you and a sentiment and image inside completes this simple card.

Make It Simple Monday - Botanical Beauty

Hello and thank you for stopping by to see my cards this week. I will be using Botanical Beauty stamp set this week in particular but I will be coordinating it with Botanical Layers and Berry Harvest...possibly! The Botanical Beauty and Berry Harvest are what are called Background stamps and they do make excellent backgrounds too. However, with a little addition they can adopt a different look too which is what I aim to show you this week. 🤞🤞🤞

Today's card is a simplestamping card of course. One ideally suited for the new to stamping, or beginner crafter. It's perfect as all it needs once stamped is a sentiment. Yes, I did add a few extra layers flat onot the previous card layer and then some of the little cut outs from another stamped image. They were stuck to the back of the sentiment. which came from the Botanical Layers stamp set.

Make It SImple Monday - Lifetime Of Love

Hello and welcome back after the Easter break. I hope that you all had a lovely Easter with friends and family. This week I will be using the lovely stamp set and dies (later in the week). Today's card is of course a simple one which is a simple run of leaves into a circle and one of the gorgeous flowers in the centre. As soon as I saw this set I fell in love with it.  I used my Watercolour pencils for this card today but no water brush. That's one of the benefits of Watercolour pencils, you don't have to add water to the image. They work like ordinary pencils but so much smoother.
