This or That Thursday Everyday Details

Gill and I host several regular monthly card evenings both in person and via zoom. We take it in turns to design the projects that attendees make. The last class we held was last Friday evening and Gill , as always, designed some gorgeous cards. The theme for her selection was embossing folders. Her designs inspired me to create today's samples using the Everyday Details stamps.

It all starts with an embossing folder. The one I've used for today's samples is from a trio of folders called basics 3d embossing folders. This trio has 3 oh so useful textures to add that little something extra to any card.

Gill loves spots and dots so I chose to use this one of the folders for today's cards.

Both samples start of with a basic white mat embossed with the dots. Then take 1 of the mats and cut it into random strips.  There is no measuring for this but do take care to keep them in the order that you cut them. Next adhere them onto a panel of card the same colour as the card base. Now trim the panel to fit on to the card base .

Here is This  version...

The card is finished with the flowers in vase image and the sentiment is die cut out using the coordinating Everyday Details dies.
For the That version cut the second mat using a trimmer into neat strips starting at 1.5cm, then 2cm, then 2.5cm and so on. Once again place the strips onto a panel of cardstock the same colour as the card base and trim to fit .

Again I've used an image and sentiment from the Everyday Details stamps and dies to decorate this version.
Which do you prefer 🤔 random This ? Or organised That?
