Fun fold Friday Christmas Classics

Happy Friday may your weekend be the very best it can be 🥰 Here on our blog Friday is fun fold day so of course I have a fun fold to share with you! And of course it features the amazing  Christmas Classics bundle of stamps and coordinating dies. But it also showcases an absolute stunning pattern paper called Winter Meadow.  The papers a soft and muted with natural imagery and simply stunning.

I think these papers are perfect for any time of year but they do pair beautifully with the Christmas Classics that I've featured all week.

So with the papers picked and the stamps and dies organised on to the fun part the folds!  You start with a piece of cardstock measuring 14.85cm x 20.5cm. ( 5 1/2" x 8 1/2") scored at 10.5cm, 13cm, 15.5cm and 18cm. (41/4", 51/4", 61/4" and 71/4")

Next you mark down from the top of the 1st 3 score lines at 2.5cm (1") then 5cm ( 2") on the next  score line. You cut diagonally from the top of the 1st score line down to the mark on the 2nd score line. Then across to the third score line. From the 3rd scorline cut diagonally to the mark on the 4th score line then across to the edge of the cardstock. The picture below shows it far better than I can write an explanation ( if working in inches the cut lines are the same)

Next it's time to fold the score lines. The first line is a mountain fold that creates the back of the cards. The 2nd is a valley next a mountain then a valley finishing with a mountain fold. Basically they are concertinered together.

Now cut 2 panels one measuring  12.4cm x 8cm (41/2" x 3 3/4") and another  9.84cm x 5.5cm (31/2" x 21/4"). These panels are adhered onto the flat panels of the fold as shown below.

Now let you creativity run wild and decorate as you desire. I've used the gorgeous winter meadows paper as well as  super sparkley silver glimmer paper with the Christmas Classics stamps and dies.

This fold is great for showing off 3 different pattern papers.

Don't be afraid to alter or cut your die cuts to suite your project. The front silver glimmer die cut was much larger when first die cut for the front of my card so I chopped it upand made it fit 😃

The center die cut fitted beautifully and required no adjustment.

I decorated the back as the place to write my message.

I love how the pleated cascade fold works. It gives lot's of space to decorate but also works as an easy card to post as it fold flat.

Well that's all from me for this week . Next week Gill will be sharing her inspiration with us all.

We're both taking part in a fun online convention tomorrow so we'll be super energised this weekend. What about you? What are your weekend plans? Whatever  they are don't forget

Have Fun!
