Make It Simple Monday - Silly Goose1

Hello and thank you for popping by. This week, I am going to be showing some projects made with the lovely Silly Goose stamp set. NOw one of my sister's was born on Christmas day so we always celebrated her birthday on Christmas Eve as well as on her birthday. I would have put Happy Christmas on the card too but as I said we always kept the 2 occasions seperate for her on purpose. It wasn't fair for her to miss out. This card is a bit of a joke for her as ther is no way on earth could any of us forget her birthday!! As I'm sure you can imagine.

A very simple card with 2 strips of paper and the silly goose stamped onto an odd circle that I had.

Make It Simple Monday - #simplestamping - This Birthday Piggy

Hello on this lovely Make It Simple Monday, we are supposed to be having a lovely, sunny week so fingers crossed that it will be please. I am using one of the new stamp sets called This Birthday Piggy this week and I have had great pleasure playing with it too. Today's card is aimed at the beginner crafter or someone who just needs to make a card in a hurry. I have used only Basic white card and a white card mat. I stamped the little piggy with the birthday cake and balloon as I think it's so cute. Now cute cards aren't normally my thing as you've probably seen but I just love the pigs!

Anyway, I used my granddaughter's colouring pencils again to colour this one in very lightly. I think most people can put their hands on a simple set of colouring pencils and I wanted to show that most images can be coloured in very simply. A simple sentiment on the front and a few balloons for the inside and it was completed once I walked the edge of the card mat across the Memento ink pad to show the edge of the mat.

Make It simple Monday #simplestamping - Cup Of Tea

Hello and thank you for stopping by today. I have just received my new stamps from the new catalogue so I thought that I would show you some cards made with some of them. Using the Cup of Tea stamp set and the matching Designer Series Papers DSP, or double sided papers called Tea Boutique, I have made this very simple card.

The first piece of DSP from the pack caught my eye. A simple sentiment or 2 later and it's done. How much simpler could that be?

Throwback Thursday -Sale-A-Bration - Feels Like Home

Well the sun is sort of shining, the sky is still covered in cloud but it's warm here thankfully, so that's a bonus for being stuck indoors today. Today I have used one of the most gorgeous stamp sets from this round of Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, it's called Feels Like Home. It is just the one main image, 2 smaller ones and 5 sentiments. It's just brilliant. I love it.

I stamped the image onto a white card mat and then had fun colouring it in using the Stampin' Blends pens. I was going to colour the wall but decided in the end to leave it as it is. I die cut the 2 frames and the scalloped edge of the card using the amazing Scalloped Contours dies.  I used the beautiful bright red of Poppy Parade as the background mat and love the way that the picture just pops off the card. The Poppy Parade mat inside was first stamped with the vines and 1 of the sentiments from the same set and the inside ones are from In Your Words stamp set once again.

Make It Monday - Christmas Rose

Hello and welcome. This week I had intended using a kit called Boho Indigo but as Cary made such a lovely job of the Gorgeous Posies cards last week, I changed my project to the Christmas Rose double stamp set. More information HERE

This gorgeous set arrived last winter ready for Christmas and I am so pleased that it's still with us now so I can show you some of the amazing projects that can be made using it. It has a set of dies to go with it, some of which are really intricate, so please have a look around in our shop and see what other amazing things you can find too.  The set is a box of 2 lots of stamps, 1 is the whole image of the Christmas rose and the other is lots of different elements of the 1st image and more. The whole stamp is in red rubber clear mount and the other set is photopolymer. I thought I was going mad when I first received mine but no. It's done for a reason. I am a very strong believer that we must still use the stamp sets from previous years as a. I still have them, b. I still love them and c. just because they have retired doesn't mean they are no longer needed! That goes for people too. Just because people retire doesn't mean they cannot be very useful still. They are invaluable!

Today's project is of course a #simplestamping one. I used the whole stamp image, only 1 of the other images plus messages. I love the way that the roses can both be coloured in together with the one stamp or not if you don't want to.

All that I used for this card today was Memento Black, Night of Navy and the gorgeous Mango Melody ink pads. The Mango Melody is a gorgeous deeper yellow than the beautifully bright Daffodil Delight.

A few of the little branches and another message for the inside to complete this card today.

Make It Monday

#simplestamping

Hello and welcome back this week. Well, just for a change Cary has once again excelled herself with all of last weeks projects, they are all beautiful. Well done Cary. So it's back to me, I have no idea what's going on with me at the moment as I am so busy with so many things and everything I get involved with seems like it's getting bigger and bigger and doesn't work the way I want it to!  Is it just me or do you sometimes have periods like that too? Crazy isn't it?
Anyway, more important things, today's card is a perfect example of this last few weeks. So far I have made this card 5 times! Why it wouldn't go right I have no idea as it is so very simple, it's crazy! Once I had eventually stamped the images in the right way round!
I have never really liked holly bushes so why I purchased this stamp set, I have no idea but I'm very glad now that I did! The set is called Joyful Holly from Stampin' Up! and it is such a very easy card to make (once I got myself sorted)! I stamped the tip of one of the holly stems onto the white mat several times around the edges and added a little colouring on the berries in red and it's complete. Simple! I stamped it in black ink and with the berries and the messages in red to complete this one.

Well that's my very simple card for today. Please try and make your own simple cards and share them with Cary and I as we would love to see them.

As a result of this stamp set, I am now much happier about holly trees. Very strange am I not?
